Thanks to Frank Bauer KA3HDO we were able to schedule a 15 minute interview with Richard Garriott, W5KWQ, during our live web streaming broadcast of the Dayton Hamvention. Richard has a very tight schedule but if all goes well, we will have him on Saturday May 16 at 4:00pm Eastern time (2100 UTC) for about 15 minutes. Our video site will be going live Wednesday morning at 0800 Central and you can watch us broadcast our 550 mile drive from Memphis, TN to Dayton, Ohio. We will then broadcast the entire hamvention from the fleamarket. There is a chat room on the site where hams around the world can chat with each other about the webcast and if you have questions for Richard, we can try to ask your questions during the interview. If you cant attend the Hamvention in person you can attend virtually! we will also be giving away a lot of free prizes to those participating through our live web site. ARISS 25th Anniversary Certificate

All, There have been several inquires about the ARISS 25th Anniversary Certificate. The development and delivery of this certificate is something I am completing as part of my transition out of my ARISS duties. As you have observed, we have had some delays on the development of this certificate. We are now back on track and hope to have the certificate artwork completed by 1 June and the certifcates delivered by the end of June. I thank you for your patience on this. Does anyone know when the 25th year certificates for working through the ISS will be sent out. I know they mentioned it would be a couple months before they were ready but the window closed i think in Feb. Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) Status Report May 4, 2009 1. Upcoming School Contacts Flemish Space Days, organized by the Flemish Space Industry (VRI), will be held May 8 - 10 in the Brabanthal in Leuven, Belgium. Interactive booths, educational workshops and movies on space, avionics and astronomy are some of the activities that will attract schools, youth and the public to this three-day event. On May 8, the event will be open to school children, ages 3-18, only. A special program has been developed with the cooperation of ESA and ESERO (European Space Education Resource Office) for teachers and students.
