You can now register online for the 2009 AMSAT Space Symposium and Annual Meeting. This year we are celebrating our 40th anniversary so please come and visit with old friends, listen to interesting presentations and enjoy our guest speaker, Dr. Martin Collins. Dr Collins who works at the the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum will talk on "Making the Space Age: The First Fifty Years". THIS IS SAD NEWS indeed. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to Art's family and friends. Many of us in the greater D.C. area recognize Art's selfless support of our local annual AMSAT meetings too. Art was an experimenter. He always seemed to be tweaking and testing some hardware or software thing having to do with Amateur Radio in general or in Amateur Satellites in particular. I could count on Art to offer a top-notch presentation in many a spring time meeting. It is with great sadness that I learned of the recent passing of Art Goldman, N3OY (formerly WA3CVG). Art was 67 and succumbed to melanoma.
