FS: Robot Model 400 SSTV Converter

I got a Robot Model 400 a while back and I never used it. It has been sitting here in my shack on the shelf looking pretty for way too long and I'm ready to make it work for someone. If you, or someone you know, is interested in this unit make me an offer and it is yours. Everything appears to be in good working order and the only problem is the power switch broke during shipping. The switch itself works but the lever portion broke off. I was going to attempt to mend or replace this or you can try it yourself. I will donate a percentage of the sale to AMSAT's Eagle project. Steve, Here's a link you might want to save for the future: http://webpages.charter.net/k.swaggart/W7KKE/rotor/rotor.html I put this together a couple of years ago when I had to repair the elevation rotor. May have to move this to another sever in the future to free up my limited ISP memory allotment, but will make sure it is redirected to the new site. After spending many years with kludge az / el rotor arrangements, it is a real joy to use the G5500, even if it didn't like salt water spray! 73, Ken, W7KKE

Yaesu G5500 Have any tips?

Good evening everyone, I just broke down and Bought the g5500 and the sep kit. It hopefully will be here for the weekend. In reading vast ammounts of posts to the BB I know many of you have loads of experience with this unit. The one piece of advice that I have recieved is to makes sure I crack the rotors open and put anti-cease on the threads. Other than that does anyone have any other hints or tricks to ensure a smoothe install. It is going on a ground mounted 4.5' GME quad pod, so getting to it will be effortless. To add a connector to the G-5400 rotor you would need a pigtail connector instead of the panel mount connector that is on the 5500 motor. The pigtail connector is Nanaboshi NJC-207-AdM Wayne Estes W9AE Oakland, Oregon, USA, CN83ik

RAFT PSK31 experiment

Hi all, Today I tried some psk with RAFT on 28.120MHz PSK uplink 145.825 FM down. I could easily connect to RAFT to switch the psk transponder on but found that the only the speech activated. So no psk could be made. I will try again next weekend. It would be nice when some more stations could be qrv with psk for a qso. Thanks, Drew, for the consolidated list of future prospects. I am certainly not giving up my gear (albeit, most is still in boxes while I am "travelling"). In fact, I am looking for a few pieces to have ready (in Texas) when the next generation of HEO birds are available. Hi, With my station ready for the next pass of Peheunsat-1, I fortuitously managed to capture a packet from RAFT. I'm not sure if these are of interest to anyone but here it is (clock set to UT) 07:51:34 RAFT*>SGATE>BEACON: T#991,088,110,050,045,134,00100000,999 Captured at satellites max elevation of 17 degrees.
