First off the crew is very busy on the ISS and they simply may not have the time to just pick up the microphone and talk. Also, one needs to be aware of their normal daily schedule. I have listed below the constraints that we at ARISS have to follow in order to schedule the school contacts. Hopefully this will help you better schedule your opportunities. Typical daily schedule Wakeup to Workday start= 1.5 hours Workday start to Workday end=12 hours Workday end to Sleep= 2 hours Sleep to wakeup= 8.5 hours The crew's usual waking period is 0730 - 1930 UTC. The most common times to find a crew member making casual periods are about one hour after waking and before sleeping, when they have personal time. They're usually free most of the weekend, as well. SSTV events are not that often. So please check out https://www.ariss.org/ for the latest information or watch for the ARISS announcements. And don’t forget that the packet system is active. I’ve started to once again use this satellite but am puzzled by the various online tutorials, seemingly different software applications, and particularly where logs that are exported end up. I’ve looked all over trying to find an exported logs but haven’t found it. I'm on Linux but I followed the instructions on that repository to update the drivers on my laptop. I will definitely be looking into if something went wrong with the drivers but as I don't have a permanent shack setup at my QTH yet I'm not fiddling around with drivers and such at 4 am when it's 31F outside. Sadly my best passes for the ISS are in the middle of the night at the moment and it's unseasonably, and unreasonably, cold here right now. And this from a guy who loves winter. If nothing else this has convinced me I need to get my butt in gear and setup an permanent station in my home so I can play with satellites more consistently. B --- 73 de Brendan, N0BML

I got a response from one of the control ops for FO-99 and they are going to adjust the schedule of the transponder this evening. From what I understand they are going to try to turn the bird on 10/30 1:05 UTC. There is a pass right down the center of the States shortly after if anybody wants to jump on and give it a shot. It is a fairly low pass for me here but I will give it a go. 73, Will, KN6QVA
