I have a TS790 I am looking to put up for sale or trade soon-to upgrade the station. It is in good condition with a few scratches on the top, but works ok. Doesn't have the 1.2g module in it. I propose that all who are tired of this individual poisoning what is otherwise a peaceful and productive environment with his abusive and slanderous posts against an organization that I for one am proud to be part of and will continue to support. It's time to call for a halt to all this "CRAP" to use the description of many of those posting. I may not agree with all that Luc and others post but they have every right to express their opinions with the proviso that what they post does descend into open personal abuse. I thought the ideals of America and other civilised countries were to support freedom of mind, expression and opinion and the ideals of our hobby to communicate peacefully with each other? Legitimate points and questions posted frequently go without reply yet this episode proves that you are all out there, so let's get some dignity back on this -bb please. David G8OQW

Need helpers at SEA PAC hamfest, June 2-3

It's a bit early to put out the request, but I want to get some satellite-related traffic on the bb. I plan to run an AMSAT booth at the SEA PAC hamfest in Seaside, Oregon on June 2-3. I've run AMSAT booths before, usually with little or no help. But AMSAT can be represented more effectively if I can get helpers. Even better, I'm hoping somebody could volunteer to make some demonstration satellite contacts using a handheld radio and Arrow antenna. Could we raise orbit thru magnetorque?

In thinking on a future satellite project, this question was made. Argument is: if when satellite is in the north, a north magnetic field is applied on z plane, will satellite raise orbit ? Same but opposite on south. Considering limited energy available could this raise be significant if applied on all orbits ?. Wrestling with pigs

Arguing with our friends that are non-lovers of the military on this BB is like wrestling with pigs: All that happens is you get dirty - and the pig likes it.
