UK BBC TV Report On ISS Amateur Radio Contact John Locker has provided a link to a TV news item that was broadcast on BBC North West about the contact that Radio Amateur Matty Cunningham MD0MAN had with Charles Simonyi KE7KDP who was onboard the International Space Station. John Locker also appears in the programme. satellite piracy

Interesting article in SANS News today. (SANS is a network/computer security organization... http://www.sans.org) --Tamil Rebels Hijack US Satellite Signal (April 13, 2007) Rebel independence fighters in Sri Lanka have been pirating the services of a US satellite to send radio and television broadcasts to other countries. In 1997, the US government identified this particular group, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, or LTTE, as a terrorist organization. The satellite belongs to Intelstat, a US company. Intelstat officials have been meeting with technical experts and Sri Lanka's Ambassador to the US to discuss measures the company it is taking to prevent the satellite's unauthorized use. VQlog and LoTW

All, I'm considering moving my VHF/Sat logs to VQlog, because DX4WIN isn't really built for the oddities of sat logging. Especially the super-oddities of satellites and LoTW. Can anyone tell me if VQLog generates an ADIF log for satellite QSOs that LoTW likes, without any user post-processing? I listened with my FT-817 (USB) with Arrow outside and heard nothing. MY FT-847 with 11-elem yagi on 30-foot tower was pointed at AOS+ with MixW running and nothing seen on 9600 bps packet. Hi. I have a couple of good passes of CAPE1 before it comes within range of the Louisiana control station. Is it possible for someone to confirm on the BB in the morning that the launch has gone OK?
