Heard N5UXT send 5-6 frames on the 1310Z pass. Using HRD, I decoded one fairly clear picture of a cubical satellite, but never got a good enough lock on the others. RX signal was excellent, but the audio level was a bit low, and had enough noise that the uplink did not seem to be achieving full quieting to AO-51. AO-51 Mode LU SSTV

Only heard my own SSTV downlink during the last pass, mid Atlantic, from here at IO80SM. I had to revert to manual tuning for the uplink as the tuning/tracking program I use was way out on the uplink. I will give it another go during some of the PM passes later today. 73, Dave. G1OCN. Looking at the spec in the manual, it doesn't really seem to mention much about downloading pictures from the device. If I get hold of one, I might give Kenwood a poke and see if they have any more comprehensive information. Gordon

Received the following on the 2:45 pass here in EN19 country, using JVComm32: CQ SSTV from AI 7W in Grid CN84 Robot 36 11.10.2008 02:49 UTC Unable to Tx, eavesdropping only, maximum elevation 7 deg. Question on receiving AO-51 SSTV and SatPC32

Unforrtunately I have no capability for 1.2 Ghz transmit so I won't be sending any images to AO-51 but I would like to "eavesdrop". Since I have no frequency pair programmed into SatPC32 for a 1.2Ghz/70cm combination I can just use any pair that happens to have the right downlink frequency right? I think this is a correct assumption but I want to be sure. If I need to add an entry to my frequency parameters I will. Tnx and 73, Michael, W4HIJ

satpc32 will not let me update my keps any more every time i try to i get download failed. im trying to get the ...nasa.all and i have tried the others what should i do. 73 kd8atf fm09

SSTV etc from the ISS

If, like me, you're out at work for the ISS passes, then it's still possible to record the SSTV and other modes as the space station passes over. Leaving your radio on the ISS 2m downlink with an audio cable connected to a PC which is running VoxRecorder will automatically record wav files when the squelch opens. VC-H1 for SSTV reception

I would like to try receiving SSTV pictures using a VC-H1 and TH-D7AG combo with a handheld Arrow antenna.The VC-H1 stores up to ten pictures. Does anyone know of a program that will work with Windows XP that will allow the downloading of the stored pictures to a computer? The software that Kenwood originally provided does not seem to work under Windows XP. Thank you for any help! 73 Al W8KHP
