Hello all....
Well, after a long hiatus this summer, I have been finding the time again to
work the satellites.
However, last night's AO-51 pass had me rather dismayed....I could barely
hear it at 45 degrees for a pass. Has the power level for 51 been reduced,
and if so, what is she running?
Thanks all, and see you again this Autumn.

Is there somewhere that one can find all the different meanings of all the
different modes that the spacecraft transceivers use. For instance what is
Mode A, B, A/B, J and so on?
Thanks

Hi Tyler.
This is a little historic.
Having moved away from these descriptions about 10 years ago they seem to be
returning.
Personally I prefer the more descriptive
Mode U/V first letter uplink second letter downlink UHF up VHF down
or L/S V/U S/X etc etc.
Never could remember them then.......and still can't now.

We're in Kilmartin, Scotland (IO76) for a couple more days. Alas, our previous place has poor horizons and the midges were so bad i could only do local passes from inside our self-catering unit. Talked to many
Europeans but no chance for the East Coast. Here, our horizons are MUCH
better; alas, no East Coast folk on the two passes i tried. Look for me
early morning EDT on AO-51 (06:00-ish, maybe one pass near 08:00) and
late afternoons (15:00-17:30) on AO-51 and SO-50. But the most overlaps
are only a few minutes, so we shall see... Thanks for the QSOs; 73's
and good luck!

Hi all,
Today morning 27/8/2008 @08.00Z,
I tried DO-64 (orbit #1793) but nothing heard through the transponder.
( I am not talking about the Beacon, I did not try to listen it.)
Is it the transponder OFF?

Grand Station says:
We release the movie taken by Cute-1.7 +APD II.
It was taken above Japan.
The movie is very short. But, it is the 1st movie taken by 3 kg
satellite in the world. From this movie, we could confirm that
the satellite rotates at about 0.2 rad/s.
We are planning to take pictures and movies continuously.
So we're very happy if you cooperate in our operation.
This movie was taken at 2008/07/17 0:02:14(UTC)
Who know where is Joe ???
