Hi, I'm taking the long way back to the home QTH (EM70) from central Tennessee (EM65) where I attended a geocaching "festival" this weekend. I'll be operating from a bunch of grid squares?on AO-51,?SO-50, and AO-27?while geocaching along the way. I'll hit any pass that reaches 15 degrees or better at my QTH. I'm using a 5-watt HT and Arrow-2 on this trip, so I won't have any particular mucle. Unless (until?) I get the phone call from the Boss telling me that the grass needs to be cut, I'm hoping to be on from the following grid squares, starting tomorrow morning (5/25): EM66, EM56, EM46, EM45, EM55, EM54, EM44, EM43, EM53, EM52, EM42, EM41, EM51, EM40, EM50, EM60 Road and weather conditions permitting, this is the intended sequence over the next four days. Nothing is chiseled in concrete, but hopefully Murphy's Law will take a few days off. (Yeah, right...) CU on the birds, 73, Jim, ND9M

Hawksat?

Tuning frequency for CP6 CW?

I've grabbed a few frames from CP6, but I'm wondering if anybody has figured out at what frequency the CW "header" should be tuned to in order to best print the packets that follow? Also--anybody figure out which object letter (or Norad number) CP is? The CP website states 35002 but posts KEPS for 35004 :) And Congrats to both the CP6 and PharmSat teams! 73, Mark L. This laboratory will measure the influence of microgravity upon yeast resistance to an antifungal agent. The PharmaSat mission website at http://www.pharmasat.org The primary mission of CP6 is to implement an attitude control system using only magnetic torquers embedded within the side panels. Attitude determination is performed using two-axis magnetometers on each side panel as well as observation imagers on the payload face. Once the primary objectives have been met, a command will be sent to deploy the secondary payload that consists of a series of spring steel tapes. The data will be used to guide the future design of an electro- dynamic tether. The architecture of HawkSat-1 is based around a Pumpkin Incorporated CubeSat kit, and carries a technology demonstration payload, primarily as a proof-of-concept mission, testing command, data and power subsys- tems, as well as solar panels and communications. The AeroCube-3 is a non-Amateur Radio CubeSat carrying technology development experiments. The primary systems being demonstrated are a two-axis solar tracker, and an Earth tracker, which could be used in the guidance systems of future satellites. It also carries a 2 foot diameter balloon which will be used for tracking tests, and to increase drag, increasing the satellite's orbital decay, after its mission has been completed. The primary payload, TacSat-3 is a 12-month mission is to demonstrate capability to conduct imaging that is responsive to the needs of the U.S. military. It contains a unique bus architecture which enables rapid integration and modular packaging of both bus and payload com- ponents. This will allow future Operationally Responsive Space (ORS) missions enabling a seven-day call-up requirement for specialized mil-sats. De Winne is currently at Russia's cosmonaut training center outside of Moscow. He will leave there later this week and fly to neighboring Kazakhstan, where a Soyuz rocket is being prepared to carry him, Russian cosmonaut Roman Romanenko and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Robert Thirsk, VA3CSA, to the orbiting space outpost. Hi all I need help getting my LVB tracker to talk with my computer. It seems to be USB but has a RS 232 port. That means I have to use a USB to Serial adaptor with I did, but I can't seem to get the downloaded program to talk with the LVB. I downloaded the FTDI interface, but no luck. looking for updated keplerian elements for CP6 and PharmaSat

Hi, I am trying to receive CP6 and PharmaSat, however, I couldn't find keps sets that will generate satellite position that is consistent with PharmaSat dashboard at http://pharmasat.engr.scu.edu/Dashboard/ or with what the CP6 parsing software is indicating... Does anyone know where can I find the most updated keps? Needless to say that I haven't succeeded to hear the satellites yet... thanks & 73 Shamai 4Z1WS
