WD9EWK SO-67 QSOs now in LOTW

Hi! I just finished uploading my SO-67 QSOs to LOTW. It works as I expected, after downloading and installing the new TQSL configuration file I referenced in my -BB post this morning. The TQSL program has not changed from the current version (1.13), but the TQSL configuration changed to include SO-67 in the list of satellites supported by LOTW. I had one QSL from my uploaded SO-67 QSOs, so I can't take credit for uploading the first SO-67 QSOs into LOTW. Kerry WC7V had a QSO in there from this morning that matched up with one of my QSOs. Others will certainly match up as others start to add their SO-67 QSOs to LOTW. And, with the SO-67 QSOs now in LOTW, I have my complete satellite log in that system. Have a good weekend, and 73! VUCC fees

Yaesu 5500 Rotor Problem

The meter for elevation on the Yaesu 5500 is not working. Any idea what might be wrong? Are there places to have them fixed if I can't shoot the bug? Thanks. Bill K3SV

SO-67 now in LOTW

Hi! I just noticed this change when reading through the LOTW FAQ page: https://p1k.arrl.org/lotw/faq SO-67 is now listed as a satellite supported in LOTW. I also saw that there is a new TQSL configuration file as of yesterday (27th) available for download. To get the new configuration file, you can download it from this link: https://p1k.arrl.org/lotwuser/config.tq6 or get the new configuration with the valid certificates LOTW has for you at: https://p1k.arrl.org/lotwuser/certs.tq6 If you are not already logged into LOTW when using either of these links ending in "tq6", you will be taken to the LOTW login page before the download starts. I will upload my SO-67 QSOs tonight, which will complete my goal of putting all of my satellite QSOs into that system. VUCC rule

Hello group, I need help interpreting the following VUCC rule. For VUCC awards on 50 through 1296 MHz and Satellite, all contacts must be made from locations no more than 200 km apart. I'm I correct to interpret it to mean that all one's operating locations, QTH and portable, must be within 200 km of each other on QSO's submitted for this award? Your help is greatly appreciated. The Army's First Nanosat

Here is an article I saw about the US Army's recent Nanosat experiment. Reading this I remembered how cool it was in 1990 when we hams enjoyed store and forward email messaging with a global scope thanks to PacSat and LuSat. It may have been simple and un-glamorous, especially in light of today's internet and cel-a-phone capabilities - but it was certainly way ahead of its' time.
