Pre-amps with SWR meter

Installing my new UHF/VHF SSB preamps tonight. I have FT-847 to send 12VDC to them. I currently have an SWR meter between the 847 and the preamps. Can I feed power through the SWR meter safely? The SWR meter is an SX-1000 by Diamond. Thanks, Mike kb8zgl

ISS HRD

Does anyone know how to fix HRD keps, Amsat and Heavens are right on and all the other sats are good. I know they had to boost the ISS and I did see that post but is there any way to get HRD going right? The automatic dealy bob is doing its thing, but obviously not getting the updated keps for ISS...:( Kevin KF7MYK

I have just talked to K3IO concerning the plans for his wife's Elizabeth's memorial. The service will be held in about one month in Clinton, South Carolina at the family church where her ashes will be scattered. Nominations must be submitted to the AMSAT-NA office by close of business today. Procedures are reproduced below. 73s, Alan WA4SCA AMSAT Corporate Secretary ======================================== It is time to submit nominations for the upcoming open seats on the AMSAT-NA Board of Directors. The deadline is June 15th. A valid nom- ination requires either one Member Society, or five current individual members in good standing, to nominate an AMSAT member for the position. Four director's terms expire this year: Barry Baines, WD4ASW Alan Biddle, WA4SCA Drew Glasbrenner, KO4MA Tony Monteiro, AA2TX The four candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be seated as full Board members for two year terms. The two candidates receiving the next highest number of votes will be seated as alternate Board members for one year terms. Beginning this year, in addition to traditional submissions of written nominations which remains unchanged and is the preferred method, initial nominations may be made by electronic means.=A0 These include e-mail, FAX, or electronic image of a petition. Electronic petitions should be sent to MARTHA(a)AMSAT.ORG or faxed to 301-608-3410. CALIPSO - 3 Billion Photos So Far

Five-year-old satellite CALIPSO took its 3 billionth image June 2 - the image showe a vertical look at the massive smoke plume from the wildfires in Arizona. CALIPSO has traveled more than 750 million miles as it orbits Earth. The amount of data and images it has recorded would fill 10,500 DVDs or 75,000 CDs ... so far. Clint Bradford, K6LCS
