WORK-AROUND FOUND! RE: ARISSat TLM soundcard selection

OK ! So there is no way to select between either the soundcard (read output from HDSDR) or the FCD (which is in the system also a soundcard. BUT: here is the work around; step 1: disconnect the FCD step 2: start ARISSatTLM (only th normal sound card is present, which it selects) (not: in the Tuning indicator no signal is seen) step 3: plug in the FCD (into the USB port of the PC) step 4: start HDSDR >>> and now ARISSatTLM shows the output of HDSDR Voila (the French would say) Henk -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: Sion Chow Q. ARISSat TLM: Sample rate of Signalink

While I have been decoding some frames in an earlier pass using another pc, I have no luck using the Signalink USB attached to to AF-Port on the IC910H (cw decoding works very well) How can I verify it's sample rate and - if necessary - set it to 48 kHz ? thanks Werner, HB9BNK

Mirage kpc1 problems

I suspect that one primary reason I'm not hearing the birds as I try several home brew stationary antennas is the used 440 preamp I bought on eBay. It seems like the internal TS-2000 internal is better and that shouldn't be. And just when I'm getting results with these home brewed antennas! Is there any way I can verify failure in the mirage kpc1/440? I too got tired of mistakenly putting too much rf in an old ARR preamp I had and fried it, suggesting that I switch to the mirage amps like those I use at the home qth with good results. Rick W2JAZ

WTB: 70cm all mode radio

I am looking for a 70cm all mode radio to use on VO52, AO7, and FO29. I have 2m already covered with an Icom 706 original, so just need something for the UHF side of things. Something like the FT780, FT790, FT790RII, TS811, TR851A, TR9500, TM455A, IC 451, IC 471, IC490.or FT726 with UHF module. I would also be interested in a yaesu FT100D or FT857D for the right price. It needs the mic and power cord. Any other accessories aren't really needed. Let me know if you have one for sale. 73s John AA5JG

Ditto I've used this combination successfully for years with various keyspan serial to USB adapters, even their 4 port model. Keyspan is now owned by tripplite. My rotor control interface is home brewed following mark hammond's article in amsat journal. It works great with yaesu rotor and macdoppler pro. Rick W2JAZ

MacBook running MacDoppler interface to radio

I have both PC and Mac computers. I enjoy using both and have each computer doing things that they seem to do the best. I am looking for some suggestions on what interface I should be using to have MacDoppler running on a MacBook Pro control an IC-910. I have the CT-17 level converter for the IC-910. When running from a PC(for this and mobile I use a Panasonic CF-29 Toughbook. It has a serial port!) I simply connect the serial port to the CT-17 and all works fine. I do have a USB to Serial converter (U232-P9) that has Mac drivers. I cannot seem to make the Macbook, usb-serial adapter, and CT-17 work. For those running MacDoppler, how are you interfacing to the IC-910 or other radios using a serial port? Thanks, 73, James W5AOO

Reception of FSK signal by TS 2000x

Hi , I have to transmit FSK modulated data from a transmitter chip towards Transceiver(TS2000x) so that I can receive the data in computer. I am able to control the internal TNC of TS2000x through a software called Pacterm. Even if the signal power is being displayed on display panel, no data is being received in computer. I have an option of using the UNPROTO mode in internal TNC. I am sending AX.25 UI frames to the transceiver. Even then, nothing appears on computer screen. The parameter RXERROR count also does not increment (which could have stated otherwise that the packets are rejected). Can you just tell me what can be the possible cause? and solution too.. I can also use KISS MODE (found in transceiver datasheet) but there is no data display in that also though it says it does not do any packet operation on this mode and directly forward the data to computer..
