Iss Packet

Hello all again. Can some good person help me try packet on the Iss 145.825. I have Multipsk and also Mixw on my pc so hopefully one of these will allow me to send packet via soundcard to my Ic-910. Have a Cat cable and audio in and out from the din connection on back of radio so what next?. Is both Tx and rec on 145.825. Cheers Kev mm0kjg

Hii all, ARISSAt-1 voice telemetry just now: 00:27z 8/21/2011 received at CM98 MET 42 min IHU Temp = +30c Control panel temp = +20c Battery 3??? (lost to QSB) Battery current ??? ma SSTV picture followed (a real one this time, not pre-recorded!), then off. 00:29z 8/21/2011 received at CM98 MET = 45 min IHU Temp = +31c Control panel temp = +20c Battery 35.66v Battery current -8ma This was followed by 2 min off, and another voice announcement, children chanting, and then off again to LOS. So, a question... Why, when the spacecraft is in full sun, is the battery current negative? I'm guessing that there some orientations that will not supply sufficient power for operations. If so, what happens when we lose the battery altogether? Reset? Or is there a shedding of load first when the voltage drops? Greg KO6TH

EL18/19 activation

Over the next few days ('til around Tuesday 8/30) I will be near the EL18/19 border and will try to work the FM sats (SO-50, AO-27, AO-51) from there. I cannot guarantee any specific times or passes due to my unpredictable work schedule (which includes the weekend), so stations needing these grids will just need to keep an ear out for me. If anybody needs EL08 or EL09, please e-mail me to try to work out a schedule. I am actually near the corner of EL08/09/18/19 but will focus on the rarer EL18/19 pair since the corner itself is inaccessible. Thanks, Wadhah, WA5DA

The AMSAT Office will be closed from Friday, August 26 - Tues, Sept 6th. My family has plans to go to Long Beach Island in NJ but hurricane Irene might change that! -- 73- Martha

Is it just me, or was the last pass over Europe (orbit # 333) very weak? Barely heard it at all, before I have been getting S9 +60dB signals Pete Mi0VAX
