This is the week for W1AW portable from Minnesota. There will be two of us, N0TOR and NR0T, working the birds as W1AW/0. I just started the week off by working W4VAS and AA5PK on AO-7 Mode B. Signals were good and no FM'ing. Both of us work M-F 8am to 5pm so there is not likely to be much opportunity to operate during the work day. Thant is great info. K4AMG will be GOTA station at the W4CAR FD. Since we have SSB CW we will not operate SO 50 because of the congestion. We tried FD last year but had to many program and other failures with an old HR Deluxe. Hope to work you all from Deep Creek Lock Park on the Waterway in Chesapeake, VA FM 16. TS-2000 TNC Program

Are there any TS-2000 owners out there that use the built in TNC of the radio ? If so what terminal programs are available to use with it ? Back in the day there were a half dozen or so good terminal programs with buffers, canned messages and other features. But a Google search brings up nothing today. I'm looking for something a lot more then Windows Hyper Terminal gives me. So, what are you using ?? Keith N4ZQ

Congrats all around! I was one of those 7... Right behind you, Paul, with VUCC #249, also issued in March. I waited to submit 150 grids to match up with the 150 I previously had (under my old callsign) which was VUCC #86. LO-78 added to LoTW

Just got a message from W3IZ stating that a new TQSL configuration file has been released adding LituanicaSAT-1 (LO-78) to the satellite tables. Here are the instructions for updating your configuration files: "TQSL 2.0 user have nothing to do. When opening TQSL for the first time of the day the TQSL program will detect the update and ask you to confirm installation. TQSL 2.0 users can manually check for updates under the help button in the TQSL toolbar. See < www.arrl.org/instructions > More TQSL > Checking for updates. Users of older versions of TQSL will have to download the file from their user account under the tab "Your Account" then select "Your Certificate" then select "Download Current TQSL Configuration File." I will say that the fact that the actuality of the 5KHz lower than published frequency (Known for years) is the reason that often times you here a newby on the bird, throwing out his call, getting responded to but never answering back. I had a good QSO on HF a bit back, mentioned "I do AMSAT" and he said something to the effect, "I tried listening and calling but never heard anything". I told him about the "Actual vs. published" frequencies. He says "Well that probably explains it then". Even K6LCS's great pages at http://www.work-sat.com/Sat_Skeds.html do not refer to the offset. I am convinced that this disparity is the cause for at least some of the QRM on that bird, not all but some. I use two frequencies for the downlink in SatPC32: 436.791 and 436.788 MHz. I have heard it suddenly jump about 5 kHz during a pass - but that is some time ago.
