Just finished uploading a copy from the most recent pass over North
America. Had excellent reception on my handheld in Morehead City, NC.
Here's a link to what I got. http://i.imgur.com/tPNGFEE.png I just missed
the fist part of the transmission but I managed to get the rest just fine.

Bob, does your mass budget allow you to include a fuse in series with
the burn resistor?
eg Looking at:
http://www.matronic.de/pdf/herstellerkataloge/littelfuse_katalog/Chapter10S…
Your 15R burn resistor will draw ~ 0.5A from your 7.5V supply?
Looking at the fuse curves for the "FLAT-PAK Slo-Blo Fuse 203 Series" on
page 23 of that PDF, the 1/4A variant of those fuses should open after
about 6 seconds @ 0.5A (might blow a bit quicker in a vacuum though
since there is no atmosphere to convect heat away from the fuse?)
There will be other suitable fuses - the above is just an example (I do
not work for Littelfuse).

Hello

Mineo, JE9PEL
Trevor, M5AKA
Nitin, VU3TYG
many thanks for all your info - very helpfull.
So now I startet to install UISS and some modules with UZ7HO Sound Card
Modem and IC-7000 or with my TH-D7 as TNC.
Has anyone use the TH-D7 with UISS? With UIView32 it works perfectly.
with a modified .cmd file.

Paulo PV8DX has spotted that the current ISS Work Plan at http://www.mcc.rsa.ru/plan.htm has a 15 minute slot allocated for SSTV operation on Friday, September 5.
Perhaps this is just a test of the system, maybe trying some different software settings to see if they can get some tones transmitted ??
If so let's hope it works.
