PSAT digipeater is on (or will be)

DK3WN notes that PSAT is in full sun and should have enough power for the next week to support both the PSK31 transponder and APRS digipeating. The APRS digipeater supports the aliases of ARISS and APRSAT so the same settings for ISS should work for PSAT. At this writing, the digi is still off, but will be on as soon as one of the command stations hits it. 1120am (L) Pass AO-85

GOOD morning all: Hope you are all well and having a great christmas holiday. I just listened on the 1120L pass of AO85 here in EN91 -- while I didnt hear voices, I could hear a drop in noise which said to me that I was near the carrier frequency or something -- SInce I havent messed with satellites in at least 10 years, I thought that was a pretty good start -- I have somewhere a plan for a tape measure antenna that should work for sats, I just need to dig through my files and find it, I am thinking about setting it up to work from a tripod, and I have 2 HT's which should work to start with until I can afford a duplexer for my IC706. That being said, I hope you all have a great MERRY Christmas and hope to hear you more on the birds TIM W8TAH EN91ae

Good evening! I'll be staying overnight in Payson, AZ (DM44) next Friday 12/11. I am planning to work the following SO50 passes during the night: 0226 utc - max elv 5.6° 0403 utc - max elv 74.3° 0545 utc - max elv 14.2 Will try that 5° pass to the east, although, I'm not very familiar with the local topography. Question about packet decodes

I left the receiver on today while I was away. I captured some packets on 145.825! I need some help identifying the source meaning of the packet: >From PSAT-1, what is APOFF telling me? When the received packet is CQ via PSAT, ARISS, which satellite is it PSAT or iSS? What are these destinations? Special callsigns? Ok so I heard myself and tried with N8RO and FVV but didn't hear myself after that and heard all them other guys just fine.... Was anyone else hearing me at all or do I just suck? Kevin KF7MYK

NO-84, what is the secret?

I heard APRS on the 144 MHz band. But I did not hear any PSK31 on the downlink. I did not try to transmit. 1. What's the secret to receiving PSK31 on FM? I never tried that before. 2. Transmit says 28.120 kHz +2 kHz SSB uplink. Can someone please translate that into USB DIAL and software tone? If it is 28120 USB and 2 kHz tone, most SSB rigs attenuate the audio at that level. XW-2F Transponder OFF

Hi all, The pass over HM77fr around 20:10 UTC showed XW-2F with CW beacon and telemetry on, but the transponder was off. Adjusted my TS-2000 XIT between -20 to +20kHz. Nowhere to be found.
