I'm glad to be back working satellites again after many years, but I can
see that I have a lot to catch up on.
I'd rather not flood the mailing list with a lot of redundant questions
so I'd appreciate it if someone with the knowledge of telemetry modems
and decoders would contact me off-line at: dxdx(a)optonline.net
Monitored the last GO-32 pass expecting to see ID frames or perhaps an
APRS station, but I didn't capture anything. Signals were quiet strong
so I'm wondering if there might be a problem with the satellite that
would cause it not to ID? I'll try APRS on the next (20:00z) pass to see
if it will digi my signals.
Has anyone made any contacts at all? I doubt it, all shown are beacons which are lame because they wear down the bats on PC-SAT -44 remember that bird?
The packet on ISS is a waste of time maybe they should move the antenna or something...
I will be operating from DM43 tomorrow in Arizona from December 22-31. Im
using a FT-8900 and the Arrow only so no SSB birds, just FM only. There may
be possibilitys of operating in another grid. This is a personal enjoyment
trip so don't expect me to be on every pass. Its also going to give me a
test run of how well the 8900 does on the birds. I will operate on AO-85,
SO-50, and Lilacsat-2 if its on. I will also get to see if I can get into
AO-85 with about 10-20W with my Arrow.
