This posting is a continuance of the posting "The trial of NX9B - Part 1" And now I will provide the rest of the story that you so conveniently left out about our QSL exchange. I will also tell anyone who is still reading at this point that I can not find the email I sent on March 24 but it was referenced in my email of March 25. I think from the context of the March 25th email what the previous email said. It was a good trip, we just pushed a little too hard at the end. Glad I could get a few new ones on the air for a few people. I offered the team gear and training early on, and they only gave a tepid response of basically "we'll see." Since then, as you have seen, they have announced via another venue that they will include an HT and arrow for SO-50. While that's better than nothing, it will be a giant mess if they don't practice first, and even then it will be dicey. Since then I've reached out again with a request to consider an 817 that I would loan them, and ops on FO-29 with a fixed transmit freq like Dale and a few others do. This expedition seems much more rushed and limited in scope than K5D, so I don't hold much hope for getting more than the HT Arrow ops, but we have tried. I've got 5-6 envelopes here already, and will sit down and knock out cards probably next weekend. Now, if someone takes the time to send ME an email wanting to know how this ended, I guess it really depends on who is doing the asking. Just remember that you and Patrick are associates of AMSAT/NA and everything that you do and the means by which you conduct your business within the satellite community is a reflection of that organization. 70cm high-pass filter designs

Hi all, My portable satellite station consists of a Funcube Dongle Pro+ for RX and a FT-817ND for TX. I use a diplexer in front of the dongle to avoid desensing, but still some of the 2m signal is getting in and causing desensing when working V/U birds. It seems to me that a 70cm high-pass filter in the receive chain would help. Can anyone point me to some easy to build reference designs for this kind of filters? Power handling is not an issue, since this will only be used for RX. I'm mainly looking to something that I could build from things in my junk box, using air core inductors and ceramic caps (if this a sensible thing to do). 73, Dani EA4GPZ.

With respect to the planned activation of the Special Event Station - "GB4MBC" on HF and satellite during 24th -27th April 2015 -Location: " Flatholm Island" EU124. Due to circumstances beyond our control ,"Barry Amateur Radio Society " South Wales, regrets that the visit and activation has been cancelled. IC-9100 and SatPC32

I've tried HRD, works fine with FM sats but does not handle linier inverting sats, so figured I'd give SatPC32 a shot.. for whatever reason I cannot get it to control my IC-9100. I purchased the CT-17 have it set on a virtual com port 6 but still nothing.. Can anyone give me some direction on this? I apologize id this is repeated information but I cannot find where to search the archives for the BB or any other place to find information on this software. If this works as expected I will gladly pay for SatPC32 but not going to spend the cash if I can't get it to work. Thanks David KK4QOE

FUNcube-1 Update

Hi all, It appears that FUNcube-1 stopped transmitting last evening. The FUNcube operations team are presently reviewing the latest available telemetry and will be commanding the spacecraft later today, but maybe not until this evening’s passes over Europe. 73 Graham G3VZV
