Kenwood ts2000 Tracking

Another question for a new setup. I have had this TS2000 for many years and just getting things setup for a new station. I have been trying to get it working so it will track with the birds. The computer and the radio do talk to each other, however they don't seem to keep syn very well. Has anyone else had similar issues? If so what was the fix? Now the other question is also, should I be looking at a different radio for better responses and general operation of these modes for the birds and the software. I have had this radio for many years and have update the firmware to the lastest that was listed on the Kenwood website as of this last week. Getting that done took a little bit, had to get a old windows 7 box setup along enough to upload the firmware. So all in all is this a normal tracking issue with the Kenwood and Icom or just with the Kenwood? Thank you for you help. Jim N1IPA

AO92 L/V mode??

I see that AO92 was not switched into L/V mode last night again!!Has there been a schedule change or what.If there is a change can't it be posted on the BB so all will know ahead of time. Perry WB8OTH py41(a)att.net sent from my Apple Macbook Pro

AO-95 Rx problem

First off, I do not want to "2nd guess" the Engineering team. JUst read the "post" that AO-95 was still very close to another "object". I just was wondering, if AO-95 is TOO close to another "object", maybe "object" is "blocking" the RX antenna, or did RX antenna get "knocked" off ? Opinions ? Everybody has them. I sent a QSL card to Kim Merrill N7NNP but it was return with "unable to forward". There is no email address in the FCC database or QRZ.com 73 and thank you JohnN7AME

Antenna separation on crossboom

I'm putting the following antennas on an 8-foot fiberglass crossboom: M2 2MCP8A, 143-148 MHz C{ Gulf Alpha 70cm 8x8 CP WiMo Helix 23 I'm not sure how to calculate the proper spacing on the crossboom. I assume the 2m antenna should go on one end and the 70cm antenna on the opposite end. Can I mount the 23cm helical antenna very near the rotator without harm since it has the solid reflector behind the helix? Bob W7OTJ (was WL7CQX)
