ao 92 fox satellite telemetry reception issue

Hi all I have tried to take telemetry pass for ao 91 and 92. Satellite these are fox series satellite. I have installed there telemetry software from amsat website. I have tried many passes. But software is not updated with telemetry values. I have listened some voices in my icom 9100 during the pass. I have tuned 145.880downlink for ao 92 fox 1d. Please let me know how to successfully receive telemetry for ao 92. Why I am not able to receive telemetry in fox telemetry software. What should be the samples rate for icom USB sound card for fox software. Should it be 48000 or 192000.any one please help. I am using yagi with vhf gain 11db and uhf antenna gain is 14 db. In this case, the House and Senate appropriations bills have funding levels for this account that are nearly $150 million higher than NIST requested. That makes a shutdown of WWV services unlike in FY 2019 as they won't need to make cuts to deal with a reduced budget. Specifically, while NIST requested $573,429,000 for Scientific and Technical Research and Services in FY 2019, the House Commerce, Justice, and Science appropriations bill gives them $720,000,000 (https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house-bill/5952/text). The Senate version of the legislation gives them $724,500,000 (https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/senate-bill/3072/text). The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 09:45 UTC. Glenden State School is an Education Queensland School that caters for approximately 100 students in primary and secondary education from Prep to Year 12. The school is two hours west of Mackay and is situated in a mining town. Everyone who lives in the town either works for Glencore Newlands coal mine or in essential services. The town was constructed and is owned by the mine. The school has a positive partnership with the mine, and many of our secondary students participate in traineeships in a range of areas across the mine, while all year 10 students complete a Resources and Infrastructure certificate through the mine. We are somewhat isolated and so the community works together to create opportunities in sports and recreation. The town was constructed and is owned by the mine. The school has a positive partnership with the mine, and many of our secondary students participate in traineeships in a range of areas across the mine, while all year 10 students complete a Resources and Infrastructure certificate through the mine. We are somewhat isolated and so the community works together to create opportunities in sports and recreation. My D72/Elk was able to decode a few packets from each of the callsigns, but not display them as they appear to be non-standard APRS format (like the PSAT beacons). The ISS packets were very strong compared to these, so that could be one reason. What antenna/transceiver/tnc are you using? --Roy K3RLD Wondering if its just me or does it seem like the deviation is low on these > sats. I can not distinguish which one I am hearing since I can not decode > anything yet. I used to copy the ISS packets no problem. BTW has anyone > heard any FM voice beacons ? Thanks > Frank > WA2NDV

The packet digipeater beacons on all 3 Birds-2 satellites have been turned on. They were very strong the last 2 passes over the western USA. frequency is 145825 FM .. Hopefully they will turn them on for 2 way use soon. JACK KC7MG DM42

An International Space Station school contact has been planned with participants at Friedrich-Franz-Gymnasium Parchim, Parchim, Germany on 25 Aug. The contact should be audible over Germany and adjacent areas. Interested parties are invited to listen in on the 145.80 MHz downlink. The contact is expected to be conducted in German. Bereits seit 1564 ist in Parchim eine Schule für Gelehrte hauptsächlich für Latein, Alt-Griechisch und Mathematik zu finden. 1872 wandelte sich die Schule zum Friedrich-Franz-Gymnasium. Hierdurch bekamen die Naturwissenschaften einen neuen Stellenwert in unserer Schule. Heutzutage besuchen 500 Schüler unsere Schule und lernen Sprachen, Sozialwissenschaften und natürlich Naturwissenschaften. Seit 2016 produziert das Gymnasium elektrischen Strom durch Solar-Energie. Hierfür wurde eine spezieller Klassenraum erschaffen, wo die Schüler etwas über regenerative Energie-Quellen und insbesondere, wie Solar-Panels funktionieren, lernen. In diesem Aspekt ist vor allem die Klasse 7B involviert und versucht unsere Schule zu verbessern, indem sie diese analysiert, Probleme auffindet und eigene Software entwickelt. Jährlich nimmt unserer Schule an einem regionalen Roboter-Wettbewerb teil. Dieser Wettbewerb wird durch das "Bildungswerk der Wirtschaft Mecklenburg-Vorpommern e.V." organisiert. Die Schüler lernen wie man kleine Roboter programmiert, wie die Sensoren funktionieren und wie Probleme in einer wettbewerbhaften Atmosphäre löst. Des weiteren ist unsere Schule Kooperationsparter des DLR_School_Labs in Neustrelitz. Jedes Jahr besuchen die Schüler der 9. und 11. Klasse das DLR_School_Lab. Dort erfahren sie etwas über die Bedingungen im Weltall (Schwerelosigkeit und Vakuum als Beispiel) und wie die Kommunikation zwischen Satellit und Bodenstation funktioniert. Für ARISS wollen wir einige der Unterrichtsfächer thematisch dem Funkkontakt anpassen. Dies soll so geschehen im Lehrplan der 8. bis hin zur 11. Klasse mittels Langzeitprojekte. Hierzu zählen Deutsch, Geschichte, Astronomie, Biologie und Physik. Im Deutschunterricht wollen wir über die ISS, die wisschenschaftliche Forschung an Bord und dessen Einfluss auf den Alltag auf der Erde und natürlich über die Astronauten, deren Leben und die Vorbereitungen ein Astronaut zu werden, reden. Dies wird getan durch Essays und Briefe an Astronauten, die die Schüler schreiben sollen. In Astronomie lernen die Schüler vieles über künstliche Satelliten, die ISS im besonderem und das Weltall im Allgemeinen. Wir wollen versuchen die ISS und andere Satelliten am Himmel zu beobachten, wobei zu bdenken ist, weiviele Satelliten gestartet worden sind seit Sputnik 1. Ein anderer Aspekt, den wir diskutieren werden, ist das Weltraumwetter und dessen Einfluss auf unser Leben auf der Erde. Unsere Schule ist bereits mit einem Projekt names SOFIE (Solar Flares detected by Ionospheric Effects) involviert, das vom DLR_School_Lab in Neustrelitz organisiert wird. Wir wollen diesem Projekt an unserer Schule neues Leben einhauchen und hoffen dies dadurch zu erreichen, indem wir an einem nationalen Kontest namens "Schüler experimentieren" bzw. "Jugend forscht" teilnehmen. In Biologie werden die Schüler des weiteren das Leben von Triops erforschen. Dies wird aufgrund der Erforschung dieser urzeitlichen Lebensform an Bord der ISS von Thoris Zierold getan. For this we built a special classroom for our pupils, where they learn about regenerative power sources, especially how solar panels work. In this regards class 7B is involved with the improvement of our school, by analyzing it, searching for problems and the development of software. Yearly students of our school are participating in a regional robot competition. This is organised by "Bildungswerk der Wirtschaft Mecklenburg-Vorpommern e.V.". Students are learning how to program little robots, how the sensors are working and how they have to solve problems in a competitively atmosphere. Furthermore our school is partner of the DLR_School_Lab Neustrelitz. Each year our pupils of the 9th and 11th class are visiting the school lab in Neustrelitz. There they experience conditions in space (zero gravity and vacuum for example) and the communication between satellites and ground stations. For ARISS we are planning to adjust some of our lessons for the contact. This will be done in our curriculum for 8th to the 11th classes by long term projects. We will involve German, history, astronomy, biology and physics. In German we will talk about the ISS, scientific research onboard and their influence on daily life on earth and of course about astronauts, their life and preparations for being an astronaut. This will be done by writing essays and letters for astronauts. In the subject of astronomy the pupils will learn many facts about artificial satellites, the ISS in particular and space in general. We want to observe the ISS and other human-made satellites, having in mind how many satellites were started since Sputnik 1. Another aspect we will discuss is space weather and its influence of our life on earth. Our school is already involved with a project called SOFIE (Solar Flares detected by Ionospheric Effects), supported by the DLR in Neustrelitz, and we hope to breathe new life into this project at our school. Maybe this will be achieved by participating in a national contest, called "Schüler experimentieren", "Jugend forscht". Our pupils will research the life of triops in biology. This is done cause of the exploration of theseprimeval lifeform which were onboard the ISS by Thorid Zierold. Participants will ask as many of the following questions as time allows: 1. analog the hard way

Fortunately I'm far enough north that I can work at, and mess up a bit, getting into the analog sats while I have the footprint all to myself for part of some passes. Making slow progress, I've been working at this for a long time, getting back on the satellites. Trying to do it with older equipment is challenging. The radio is a FT-726R (no CAT provision) so Doppler correction is manual. The antenna pair are a helix on 435 and 8 element quad on 2M. on a 10M (33 ft) tower. Elevation is fixed at about 25 degrees, rotator is Ham IV (I need to move the rotator controller closer - it weighs less than the radio). I can copy, without preamps, satellites on both bands down to about 1.5 degrees above the horizon. Software is GPredict (OS is Elementary, Linux). Yes, lots of complications as I can't manage everything fast enough, so I'm looking to simplify things one at a time. First, I need to get the actual Doppler shift info up on a screen as I must enter is manually. Using the Doppler per 100MHz shown on GPredict which a calculator to set the radio works but is far from practical. I'd like to bring up actual Uplink, Downlink Doppler on the screen, but it hasn't been evident how to do that. GPredict maybe isn't the right solution, as I remember it was available in the DOS Instant Track. Then maybe an Arduino controller for the antenna pointing. With better organization of the shack I think it would work. The longer term goal is to get familiar with digital satellites. I'd like some help, starting maybe with the Doppler display problem. DATE August 20, 2018 To All RADIO AMATEURS BID: $ANS-232.01 On May 20th, 2018, a pair of microsatellites, DSLWP-A and DSLWP-B, were successfully launched into a lunar transfer orbit aboard a Chinese CZ-4C launch vehicle. Telemetry signals were soon received from both satellites, although DSLWP-A was lost the following day. On May 25th, DSLWP-B was successfully placed in lunar orbit. Since then, it has continued transmitting GMSK and JT4G telemetry data, including SSDV digital images, and a short message relay service. More than 40 amateur radio operators around the world have successfully received the satellite. At the request of the Harbin Institute of Technology, AMSAT hereby designates DSLWP-A as Lunar-OSCAR 93 (LO-93) and DSLWP-B as Lunar- OSCAR 94 (LO-94). "Today, our country's dreams of greater achievements in space are within our grasp," said NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine. "This accomplished group of American astronauts, flying on new spacecraft developed by our commercial partners Boeing and SpaceX, will launch a new era of human spaceflight. Today's announcement advances our great American vision and strengthens the nation's leadership in space." The agency assigned nine astronauts to crew the first test flight and mission of both Boeing's CST-100 Starliner and SpaceX's Crew Dragon. NASA has worked closely with the companies throughout design, development and testing to ensure the systems meet NASA's safety and performance requirements. "The men and women we assign to these first flights are at the forefront of this exciting new time for human spaceflight," said Mark Geyer, director of NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston. "It will be thrilling to see our astronauts lift off from American soil, and we can't wait to see them aboard the International Space Station." This event will take place on Saturday, 18 August 2018. Even if you don't use Twitter, these posts are available to anyone using a web browser at: http://twitter.com/WD9EWK + While many are preparing for the first Phase 4 amateur payload in a geostationary satellite, the first Phase 5 amateur payload is already operational in an elliptical orbit around the Moon. The last transmissions from LongJiang 2 were on 2018-08-05 from 00:30 to 02:30 UTC and from 07:30 to 09:30 UTC on 435.400 MHz and 436.400 MHz. Various experiments are being carried out with GMSK and JT4G downlink signals. Stations with 'normal' amateur equipment can receive the downlinks quite well. Downlink signals have even been received with no more than an Arrow antenna, no preamp. DK5LA was the first to have his signals relayed through LongJiang 2 on 2018-07-15. On August 4, the first picture of an onboard camera was downlinked with SSDV. Other experiments will follow later. Why not give LongJiang 2 a try? [ANS thanks Nico, PA0DLO for the above information.] + The South Indian Ocian has many active satellite operators in the region, mainly from Mauritius (3B8), Reunion (FR), South Africa (ZS) as well as from Madagascar 5R8 sometimes. In spite many countries reachable particularly on FO-29 they report not hearing much traffic except for regular QSO's with Thailand thanks to Kob, E21EJC. Active operators reachable around the Indian Ocean (West Africa, Middle-East, Asia and Oceania) may not be looking that way as they are not expecting any traffic and also due to time difference. Stations in the South Indian Ocean area would like to QSO with others in that part of the globe. "Look for us on the birds!" Last pass at 1704 UTC they had the digipeater beacon for BHUTAN-1 turned on. The callsign is BIRDBT. Last pass they had all three digipeater beacons turned on UiTMSAT and MAYA callsigns are both BIRDMY Signals were exceptional using a Baofeng FP8 HT for the downlink... Of course the M2 yagis didn't hurt either. Hopefully they will release the sats for general use among amateurs soon. 73 JACX KC7MG DM42 Arizona

Same here !! Evidently they have turned MAYA-1 off for some reason !! Birds-2 digipeaters beacons on this morning at 1444 UTC however only BHUTAN-1 and UiTMSAT were transmitting beacons. MAYA-1 was not on !! Great signals even at a max 13 degree elevation here in DM42 grid JACK KC7MG
