Last pass at 1704 UTC they had the digipeater beacon for BHUTAN-1 turned on. The callsign is BIRDBT. Last pass they had all three digipeater beacons turned on UiTMSAT and MAYA callsigns are both BIRDMY Signals were exceptional using a Baofeng FP8 HT for the downlink... Of course the M2 yagis didn't hurt either. Hopefully they will release the sats for general use among amateurs soon. 73 JACX KC7MG DM42 Arizona

Same here !! Evidently they have turned MAYA-1 off for some reason !! Birds-2 digipeaters beacons on this morning at 1444 UTC however only BHUTAN-1 and UiTMSAT were transmitting beacons. MAYA-1 was not on !! Great signals even at a max 13 degree elevation here in DM42 grid JACK KC7MG

EN64 vacation ops

I am on a short vacation for a family reunion in Northeast Wisconsin EN64 and may be able to work occasional FM passes this weekend starting with my 1231 Zulu SO 50 pass this Saturday morning. N4KGL will be operating the EM28/EM29 grid line near Lawrence, Kansas on Saturday August 18, 2018 for the following passes. Times are CDT. AO-92 will be visible from Lawrence, on Saturday, August 18 11:15:14 AM Starting in the NNE (15°) Ending in the S (187°) at 11:26:41 AM Maximum elevation: 63.7°° (only if uplink is on 70 cm band.) AO-91 will be visible from Lawrence, on Saturday, August 18 01:25:26 PM Starting in the SSE (158°) Ending in the N (353°) at 01:36:28 PM Maximum elevation: 55.6°° I am working on rover points.
