The 2021 edition of the annual 13 Colonies special event is July 1, 2021-1300 UTC to July 8, 2021-0400 UTC. This year, a "clean sweep" (working stations in all 13 states that were the original 13 US Colonies) is possible via satellite! Yes, one or more stations in each state have volunteered to be active on the satellites this year. Falconsat-3 reloaded, back in business 27 June 2021

Hi Folks, Falconsat-3 seems to be good shape, and the reloading of the software went "better than expected." As of 1750utc 27 June 2021, it's back in business and open for use. The digitpeater function is turned ON, so that should be working again, too. Users of Pacsat Ground Station (PSGS) should consider "directory archiving to 0 headers" as a quick trick to clear out the old directory information. After a crash and reload like this, the files start over again at the beginning (like file number 100). Also, you might see your station requesting files that no longer exist. That should eventually clear itself, but you may need to manually tell PSGS to not download the old files you had queued up to get before the crash. The bird was last reloaded like 3.5 years ago! That's an amazing record of stability from an impressive bird. Tilt of the hat to Jim White WD0E who created it... It was an expensive bird when the Air Force developed it, as I recall, and you can see that sometimes you get what you pay for ;) Sorry it wasn't ready for Field Day weekend...just couldn't pull that off. 73, -- Mark L. That simple sentence alters nothing at all regarding campaigns or anything else in the bylaws. It merely says if ONE candidate for a position exists, they’re declared elected by acclamation. Does that say what I think it says? These four are in - no matter the results of voting? However the session for Ecole publique de Bellême in Bellême, Pôle scolaire Igé/Le Gué de la Chaine in Belforêt en Perche, and Ecole de Nocé in Perche en Nocé, was rescheduled for June 26, 2021 at 11:25 am CEST (Bellême, France) (9:25 am UTC, 5:25 am EDT, 4:25 am CDT, 3:25 am MDT, 2:25 am PDT). Three schools in France will participate in this ARISS contact: Ecole de Nocé, Pôle scolaire Igé/Le Gué de la Chaine and Ecole publique de Bellême. Mark Hammond N8MH reports: "I suspect that FS-3 has just "crashed" and needs some attention. Usually that involves getting it back to a primitive level of operation and testing, and then reloading all of the spacecraft's software. So, it'll take some time. But I really do think we can recover it. Last reload was over 3.5 years ago! It takes a lot of preparation and sometimes multiple attempts to get all software loaded and running. Keep the hope :).
