Sixteen new amateur satellites in orbit from Space-X Transporter 7 launch

Our friends at Libre Space show 16 spacecraft using amateur frequencies on the recent Space-X transporter 7 launch, some IARU coordinated, some not. https://community.libre.space/t/spacex-f9-transporter-7-2023-04-15-06-47-ut… Celestrak has published element sets derived from Space-X deployment data. See https://celestrak.org/NORAD/elements/supplemental/sup-gp.php?FILE=transport… Celestrak also made an attempt to match Space-X derived TLEs to USSF tracked objects: https://celestrak.org/NORAD/elements/supplemental/transporter.match.txt but I don't consider that authoritative. Note that RoseyCubesat-1 and INSPIRE-Sat 7 share the same element set which seems strange as I understand that they are two independent spacecraft. First off the crew is very busy on the ISS and they simply may not have the time to just pick up the microphone and talk. Also, one needs to be aware of their normal daily schedule. I have listed below the constraints that we at ARISS have to follow in order to schedule the school contacts. Hopefully this will help you better schedule your opportunities. Typical daily schedule Wakeup to Workday start= 1.5 hours Workday start to Workday end=12 hours Workday end to Sleep= 2 hours Sleep to wakeup= 8.5 hours The crew's usual waking period is 0730 - 1930 UTC. The most common times to find a crew member making casual periods are about one hour after waking and before sleeping, when they have personal time. They're usually free most of the weekend, as well. SSTV events are not that often. So please check out https://www.ariss.org/ for the latest information or watch for the ARISS announcements. And don’t forget that the packet system is active. As always, if there is an EVA, a docking, or an undocking; the ARISS radios are turned off as part of the safety protocol. What *is* the status of FO-118?

I was excited when it was first launched. There were YouTube videos of people making contacts. Now I see a lot of people saying they don't hear it on the AMSAT Status page. Every once in a while someone lists that they did hear it. I listen all the time but have never heard it. I did a lot of searching for current information on the bird but didn't find anything. Does anyone know the current status of the bird or have any up-to-date information on it - especially its health? Thanks! -David, N9KT

AO-91 seems to be ok on some days and passes, not on others. You should all be aware that it is not at all functional when it is not in the sun. It may take some time after it enters the sun to be available, or there may be something else going on. What's sad it there are a number of linear sats not functioning or working well: FO-29, not active, FO-118 not active, CAS-4A not active, and XW-2C has issues cutting out it's downlink. KB7ADL
