Yes they are pretty proud of all their products and show it by the price tag, but the RFinder folks have been announcing their portable AZ-EL rotator system. I expect that some of you folks who have a few more available bucks than I will want to jump on this. They still show it a s Pre-order though. I think the Discord server that hosts AMSAT posts on various topics should become a better Go-To resource. Discord has it’s flaws, but it is a more private system, without all the infiltration of cat videos and horrid politics. After participating for 19 years on Facebook, I quit about a month ago. My blood pressure dropped eight points.(1) Twitter - nka, "X" - is, in my humble opinion, chaotic and disturbing.(2) SO ... How do we BEST spread the info to satellite enthusiasts? How do we disseminate ARISS, AMSAT, and other "sources" to the 'Net? Any ideas? I don't think I'm making a big deal out of nothing. I really want relevant information available to the largest audience with minimal effort on their end. Clint K6LCS (1) - Clint is not a healthcare professional, but has two cardiologists who will attest to this. Joe: I got them on.a whim. But a friend who has the same setup as I do (Flex 6600M and Q5 transverters) said that all a preamp does with the Q5’s is overload the front end, as they are already very hot RX’s. But I want them operational. When I was last into sats (1990’s and early 2000’s), I had Landwehr mast mount preamps, but sold them when I got out of the mode. Should have kept them. I’ll see how I do without preamps first.
