Dear friend or member of AMSAT, The Radio Amateur Society of Thailand under the patronage of His Majesty the King (RAST) has received support and funding for the JAISAT-1 project from Thailand's regulator, the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission from its Fund for the Research and Development of Broadcasting, Television and Telecommunications for Public Benefit - BTFP. Construction of the Linear Transponder has been completed and this module is now in the process of construction and assembly by Innovative Solutions in Space (ISIS) in the Netherlands. The society has also received permission from the NBTC to set up a Ground Station (GS) with the callsign HS0AJ together with funding to purchase an Icom IC-9100 transceiver, a G5500 rotor together with computer equipment to be used at the GS HS0AJ and this has now been set up and completed. However, we have encountered problems in finding an appropriate program for automatic tracking of the satellite. We have installed the Ham Radio Deluxe program on the Windows 10 operating system on the computer but we have encountered many problems such as the IC-9100 driver being unable to communicate with the computer while the Ham Radio Deluxe program has been unable to control or send commands to the Fox Delta Antenna Rotor Control. The primary purpose of the HS0AJ ground station is to track all amateur radio satellites that pass over Thailand in all modes by setting up a tracking schedule plan for automatic tracking on a daily or weekly basis. Our goal is to forward the audio of satellite signals from the Icom IC-9100 as they pass over Thailand to the RAST website to enable Thai amateur radio operators to monitor these signals online in RAST website and Echolink program. RAST would like to seek advice from our AMSAT friends worldwide regarding any recommendations of a automated satellite tracking program suitable for the objectives of our ground station. AO73 Mode change

Hi folks, AO73/FUNcube-1 is now in amateur mode for an extended weekend with the transponder on to enable demonstration QSOs to take place in sunny Dayton - have FUN everyone! Please see below for all FUNcube mission info 73s Graham G3VZV and the FUNcube team. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ FUNcube frequencies and other details ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ AO-73 FUNcube-1 The transponder is normally operational only when the satellite is in eclipse, ie the solar panels are NOT being illuminated. During weekends (from pm Fridays UTC to PM Sundays UTC) the transponder is operational 24/7. When the transponder is switched off, the telemetry beacon is on full power, when the transponder is on the beacon it is on low power. During holidays, eg Christmas, New Year, Easter, etc, the transponder maybe activated for extended periods. Watch AMSAT-BB for announcements which are usually made on Friday evenings (UTC) The nominal transponder frequencies are: Uplink: 435.150 - 435.130 MHz LSB (Inverting) Downlink: 145.950 - 145.970 MHz USB Telemetry Tx: 145.935 MHz BPSK (The passband may be up to 15kHz higher depending on on-board temps. Lower temperatures give higher freqs!) FUNcube-2 (aka FUNcube on UKube) The FUNcube-2 sub-system continues to operate autonomously and, almost continuously, in amateur mode. The transponder is operational and the telemetry downlink is functioning with about 70mW output. The FUNcube-1 Dashboard does not correctly display the telemetry but it does correctly decode the data and uploads it to the FUNcube Data Warehouse from where it can be examined. Most of the real time data channels are operational and these include battery voltages, temperatures and ADCS data coming via the main On Board Computer (OBC). The transponder is interrupted for a few seconds every 2 minutes when the other transmitter sends its CW beacon and, occasionally, for a few seconds when the main OBC reboots (approx seven times each orbit). The nominal transponder frequencies are: Uplink: 435.080 - 435.060 MHz LSB (Inverting) Downlink: 145.930 - 145.950 MHz USB Telemetry Tx: 145.915 MHz BPSK (The passband may be up to 10kHz higher depending on on-board temps. Low temperatures give higher freqs!) EO79 FUNcube-3 Due to power budget constraints the transponder cannot be operational 24/7 and an orbit specific schedule has been developed. The transponder will commence operation 27 minutes after the spacecraft enters sunlight and will stay on for a period of 25 minutes. This schedule may be modified in future months as a result of experience. Landwehr pre amp

Awhile back I purchased a set of Landwehr Preamps, for 2 and 70cm. I just got around to setting them up in my station in NJ. Both are DOA, so now I'm trying to fix them. Does anyone know where I can get a schematic, or anyone that can fix these that has the parts. Both units relay are function 100%, issue is with the rx on both units. The 70cm one shows hi SWR and low RX, the 2m one no preamp, or low RX. I'm sure both will need preamp chips, I'm not sure these are available anymore on the open market.. 73 Jeff kb2m

Controlling WRAPS Rotor

Last year I built WA8SME's WRAPS rotor to use with my Arrow antenna, and it works fine with SatPC32 (set up as SAEBRTrackBox). Has anyone ever been able to control such a rotor with anything other than SatPC32? I'd rather use my Mac to drive this thing than drag out an old laptop with Windows, but I cannot get either MacDoppler or gpredict to drive it. No obvious errors, but the WRAPS never responds to either one. Still works fine with SatPC32. I've tried setting MacDoppler (and gpredict, IIRC) to both EasyCom I and EasyCom II at 9600 bps, with no success. Mark's documentation says it uses EasyCom. David, ky7dr

Is this common? Better audio w/ delay before speaking?

Hey everybody! I had a very high pass of LilacSat-1 tonight and took the opportunity to try to see how I could improve the percentage of my transmissions that the satellite would digitize & repeat onto the downlink. Wei from the project team at Harbin was kind enough to call to my attention that there should be a short delay ("a few hundred ms") before speaking so that the CTCSS decode could process. Following that period, the audio on the uplink would be passed on to the satellite's receiver. As I tested various techniques while transmitting tonight, it became pretty obvious that I was getting MUCH better audio on the downlink with a full 2-second delay before speaking when I keyed the mic. I was just wondering if anything like this had been seen on other satellites over the years. (or land-based systems, for that matter) I realize that we're treading on new ground with this satellite processing the uplink audio with an on-board computer for transmission as a data stream on the downlink, but the front-end is still dealing with a standard FM carrier and PL, so I was curious if a longer-than-expected delay had possibly been seen elsewhere over the years. Just trying to learn as I go. Thanks for any feedback. Dimensions of AO-13

Hi I mentioned in an earlier email today that I'm doing a Sat 101 lecture for a ham club. Just putting the finishing touches on the presentation, and I have a question.... I'm displaying a picture of AO-13 (my first sat QSO was on that bird) to contrast it with a picture of the the cubesats of today The only dimensions I'm finding for AO-13 are 600 x 40 x 200 mm...this seems awfully small for a 92 Kg (plus another 30Kg for fuel) weight. (23.6 inches x 1.6 inches x 7.8 inches). Were these dimensions actually in centimeters. and not millimeters? Thanks Philip N4HF

Philip - The Phase 3 satellites: AO-10 and AO-13 used the same "space frame". Dimensions noted as: 600 x 40 x 200 mm An identical Phase 3 "ground-spare" spaceframe, was in Germany with AMSAT-DL. Post-hamfest road trip on Saturday (10 June)

Hi! After the Prescott Hamfest wraps up on Saturday (10 June), I don't plan on making a quick return home. The hamfest wraps up around 3pm (2200 UTC), which leaves a fair bit of time in the late afternoon and evening for operating from somewhere else in northern Arizona. I see at least 3 reasonable options for stops I could make on my way home after the hamfest... 1. DM34/DM44 grid boundary, east of Prescott near the I-17 freeway. I worked from this spot in late April, and Chris K7TAB has also been on from here recently. 2. DM34/DM35 grid boundary, south of I-40 and the town of Ash Fork along US-89. I worked from this spot after last year's Prescott Hamfest. 3. DM35/DM45 grid boundary, either north or south of I-40 near Parks (about 25 miles west of Flagstaff). I operated east of this spot during last year's Field Day, but it has been several years since I parked on this grid boundary to work some passes. If I don't bother with stopping at any of these locations, there is one place that might be possible - depending on when I leave the hamfest... 4. Either DM36 or DM46, from Grand Canyon National Park. I still have an annual pass to enter national parks, which I bought last year while doing NPOTA, and it is still valid through the end of this month. The village on the south rim of the canyon is just over 2 hours from Prescott, a longer drive than any of the other 3 locations I mentioned. Depending on interest and available passes, I might be able to work from two of these 3 locations. Since I have been to all of these spots several times in the past, I'm happy to visit one or two of them next Saturday for those looking to mark some grids off their maps. Hi! I will have an AMSAT booth at the 2017 Prescott Hamfest, on the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University campus in Prescott AZ on Saturday, 10 June 2017. More information about the hamfest is available at its web site: http://hamfest.w7yrc.org/ The hamfest officially starts on Friday (9 June) afternoon, but the booths used by vendors and clubs/organizations like AMSAT won't be available until Saturday morning. As noted, historical web sites note physical size as: 600 x 40 x 200 mm An identical Phase 3 "ground-spare" spaceframe, was in Germany with AMSAT-DL. Orbitron with WispDDE

Hi folks, Is there anybody that uses Orbitron with WispDDE and the ERC -M? I have mounted and set ( Thanks to Rene ) it to use with the Yaesu G-5500 Azimuth/Elevation Rotors. I have interfaced it with the Orbitron software but get a couple of issues: - When the satellites reach the LOS, the rotators remains in the last pointing position and does not move to the parking position as set in the WispDDE rotator settings. - When i click on another satellite, the rotators moves to the Azimuth position even if the satellite is not visible from my Qth. I'll be giving a Satellite 101 presentation this Thursday, June 8, at the Cleveland County (NC) ARS - EM95 - club meeting for their program. There is an SO-50 pass at 812pm local time (0012 UTC June 9), 33 degree pass for 12 minutes during that club meeting - so I'm going to attempt a demo. (No ISS or AO-85 passes during that time frame.) Nothing fancy - standing outside with Arrow antenna and D72A, but wired with a splitter for mic/headset and external speaker. I may be using that club's call - NA4CC - but if not, I'll be using mine, N4HF. Hope to work some of you, if the pass isn't too crowded. Philip N4HF

They are planned to launch the ISS on a SpaceX Falcon 9 CRS-11 on June 3, 2017. The satellites are made of the exactly same design including the radio frequencies to be used and will be deployed from the ISS later in the year. The main mission of the constellation is to do experiments on radio communication with a CubeSat constellation via a network of UHF/VHF amateur radio ground stations all over the world. The challenge is to distinguish each satellite from the four satellites transmitting with the same frequency, hand over operation of a satellite from one ground station to another and assemble the satellite data, such as housekeeping telemetry, music and the Earth images, obtained at different ground stations. Amateur radio enthusiasts are asked to join the network to assist in the data downlink and reconstruction of the patchy satellite data into one meaningful data. Tracking Program Window off screen

I know this is probably more of a Windows 10 issue, But when I try to open HRD Sat Track, it starts up, But 90% of it is off screen down low so that only the top 1/4 of the window is visible. Clicking on the usual middle box thing only causes a beep, clicking anywhere on the program just causes a beep. even the "X" to close it, just causes a beep. the only way to make it go away is via the task manager. what to do? Joe, It sounds like there might be some error window or dialog window that's popped up on the area of the window that's off screen and out of view. If that's the case, usually that window has to be dismissed before you can do anything with the main window. What might work is to use one of the stupid Windows tricks (apologies to David Letterman's Stupid Pet Tricks and Stupid Human Tricks). Make sure the main window has focus. You can do this by clicking in the window since at least some of it is visible. Then hold the window key and press the up-arrow key. This should maximize the main window. If so, you should be able to deal with whatever window that popped up demanding your attention. This often, but not only works when you've had two monitors connected and closed a program while it's on the second monitor. Many programs will start up wanting to run where they were shut down and if you start it again without the second monitor attached, you can't drag it to the monitor that is attached. In this case, make sure you have focus by clicking on it in the task bar. Then use Windows key + right or left arrow to move it horizontally. You may have to hit it several times because it will first move the window to the edge of its current monitor before moving it to the other monitor. I've found that it doesn't work for some programs, but it works for more of them than not. 73, Larry K8MU

Lilacsat-1 QSO - Could be first over US?

Just completed QSO with Scott K4KDR in VA (FM17) from RI (FM41) on Lilacsat-1. This may very well be the first digital amateur downlink QSO over the US. Thanks Scott! DK3WIN and GI7UGV were also successful across the pond a few days ago. Congrats guys! Recall that Lilacsat-1 is among the QB50 constellation recently launched from the ISS. This bird is has a Codec2 1300bps digital downlink. Setting up the decoder requires an SDR for RX on a Linux platform. I was out at the KSC today to watch the aborted SpaceX launch today. We parked in a vacant lot ~ 2 miles south of the Max Brewer Bridge (SR406/402) off US1 and I tuned into 146.940 to hear the NASA feed. Received signal was very spotty there using my portable. Hello all, I'm slowly working through my backlog of projects, and I found the MMDS LNB that I'd planned to use for AO-40. I'm hopeful that we'll eventually have another 13cm transponder and I'd like to find the requisite 8.8125 MHz crystal for the LO conversion. ICM did respond to my inquiry, so they're not totally out of business yet, but they don't have it anymore. Does anyone have a spare crystal they'd care to part with for a nominal price? AO-7 broadband noise in passband.

I have been observing AO-7 quite a bit lately and I have noticed three broadband humps in my panadapter display. I also see these in W5RKN panadapter captures at: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-Jez46MB5RaMzV0RlhmWHNWcjg/view?usp=shari… This confirms these are being transmitted from AO-7. They disappear immediately after the mode switch in his captures. I also observed this today at 31 MAY 2017 about 19:03 UTC during a mode switch. Does anyone have an explanation of why these occur? The obvious might be some sort of signals on the uplink. Has anyone identified if these signals occur throughout the world or just in specific areas. If you look at these, a large part of AO-7's power output is being used to transmit the broadband humps. 73, Bill NJ1H

Yuri, UT1FG, is in IN79 now and he is headed to Gibraltar and Cartagena to unload. He plans to be on most AO-7 and FO-29 passes that touch the East Coast of the US, both day and nightime. He will likely depart the ship and fly home on the 10th of June. First pass will be 0130z tonight on FO-29. Please send me logsheets by June 5th. Elex equip surviving total immersion

Leaning over the edge of a pier, I heard a plunk and as they say, time slowed down as my brain instantly realized it was my cellphone,. I jumped in and dug around in the muck (about 3' deep) and probably in under a minute found it. Ran to the house. ran fresh water all over it, dried it and then the same with alcohol. Then dried it in the toaster oven (NOT ON, but I'd let it get too hot to touch, then turn it off and stick the phone in. That sorta worked. But the screen was shot. Next day I took it apart 2 screws and then just unsnap everything. There is virtually nothing inside but one circuit board anda few chips and the chcklet keyboard. The screen would not detach. So I then put the ckt brd in a 60C (140F) box and left it 24 hours. Now it works perfectly! Just FYI Bob

Captains and Passengers

All, Some basic rules which apply to captains and passengers, whether of an airliner or a ship: 1. The captain is always The Captain, master after God. 2. If the captain is wrong, see rule 1. This does not mean his decisions can be completely arbitrary. For instance, if the company he works for has a rule which says no ham operations, he is subject to termination if he overrides that. If the company permits ham operations, but he considers there are additional considerations which in his judgement make that unsafe, he has the authority to make that decision. There may be valid temporary reasons, such as maintenance issues which while not unsafe impose operational restrictions until corrected. He may well be required to forbid ham operation under those circumstance. He will need to report that, and he may need to justify his decision to his boss. A pattern of arbitrary decisions showing poor judgement may lead to termination, or even loss of his Master's license. Ham Radios on Princess Cruises

This is a very interesting item. Being a multi-time Princess cruiser, I have requested, received permission for, and taken ham radios on a dozen cruises over almost two decades. Today, in following up on my unanswered request for our upcoming cruise, I was informed through our Princess travel agent that the department which handles the amateur radio requests says that there will be no more permissions given as ham radios have been added to the prohibited items list by Princess Security. Interestingly, FRS is not on that same list. We had a bit of a discussion about it but of course the agent is not in any position to do more than handling the request to the person in charge of that, so there won't be any VP9/N0JY/MM on this cruise. To make it worse, that would also prohibit even taking the HTs along for use on land as we tour the British Isles. I am totally bummed. Does anybody on this list work for Princess Cruises, maybe have some thoughts on this? :-) -- Jerry Buxton, NØJY

SDRPlay RSP 1 for sale

I have an SDRPlay RSP 1 for sale, I bought it new from HRO last October intending to use it as a linear satellite receiver. It's basically brand new out of the box, I did use it two or three times, and it works well. Shortly after, I got an FT-857 to got with my FT-817 for a full duplex sat rig as well as a portable HF radio, and the SDRPlay has been sitting on a shelf ever since. The SDR is great but dual radios just fit my all-portable operating style better. I'd like to get $110 for it, shipped. Included is a Tripp-Lite dual ferrite choked USB cable, which I found helpful to prevent RFI from affecting the front end of the receiver. Also an SMA>SO-239 pigtail. An International Space Station school contact has been planned with participants at Australian Air League South Australia Wing, Elizabeth, South Australia, Australia on 31 May. The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 09:35 UTC. LilacSat-1 and Codec2

OK I'm NOT a Linux guy. Let's see if we can do LilacSat-1 for the rest of us. What I have been able to figure out is that Codec2 is a digital voice codec that creates audio speech out of some input data. If I read things right, LilacSat-1's concept here is to take analog FM (PL tone of 67HZ to open it's squelch), input and digitize the audio and then encode what it hears to digital data using the Codec2 process. That data is transmitted on a 9600 data stream BPSK decoded by an application. I think that is a good basic explanation of the system. A unique concept. Now back to not being a Linux person. I see the posts on the BB dealing with folks using GNU radio to decode the data. GNU Radio which is a Linux Digital voice program apparently can be ported to Windows, but the install process is very touchy feely. My looking at pages about Codec2 I get references to the "FreeDV" program. I found they do have a Windows installer for FreeDV. Is that the accepted program for this purpose using CODEC2? After installing the FreeDV program, I see that there are different flavors of the Codec it uses, but only some of them seem to match what is noted as flavors on the Codec2 development page. Which actual flavor is the LilacSat-1 system using? I intend to give this a listen sometime this long weekend to see if I can decode anything. Should be interesting. Does anyone have raw downlink data samples that I could use to test what the FreeDV program can "hear"? Thanks for the insights. Tom Schuessler, N5HYP

Yes, it's all about the money, but... One ham with a 20M dipole or dangling vertical, an HF rig and a big battery can really mess things up for us folks with long whips or Arrows and slightly oversized "FRS" HTs... WB5RMA and I usually get inside cabins and I operate from very obscure places on the ships with superb views for the pass I am chasing. Be sure that you are licensed for the ship's registered country... They change a lot. Check out the excellent recent article in the Journal by N5AFV for some excellent guidelines on cruising for satellites. Book Carnival whenever possible. I love putting the water grids on the air! Hello bird people, Short notice roving today. Just departed Austin EM10 heading south. Goal is to activate EL17/18/19, which will complete my second /r transcon line between Mexico and Canada (EL15-EN19), longest I've done so far is EL06-EO01. Secondary goal is EL28/29, not sure if we'll have time to do it today. No plan for passes, I'll get on something when I get there. Hit me up on Twitter if you have a request, no promises on being able to make anything specific. My little brother is behind the wheel today with his learners permit, wish me luck. He intends to listen to video game podcasts or something the whole time, so hopefully I'll retain enough of my sanity to be capable of operating a satellite. Tom, see the Twitter feed for @M6SIG - he is helping @kb1pvh get this running under Windows. It is my understanding that you must run a Virtual Machine to operate Linux and then get the Codec working under Linux. All this is far from trivial and I cannot see this concept getting much use from amateur satellite operators if everyone has to muddle through this without some detailed instructions. It's a good thing you have a long weekend to work on it – you will need it. And that is not meant to be disparaging – I am going to try to get this working at my station in the coming week.

I see there al several groups like: Amateur.txt Cubesat.txt Geo.txt Intelsat.txt Nasa.txt OrbsManu.ele Weather.txt If I understood in each group you can put at maximum 12 satellites. I want to know if I am looking the Cubesat.txt group and a satellite from another group like Amateur.txt, will I be advised even if it is in a different group that I am looking? Is there any site that can explain me how it works? Where to buy it with credit card? If anyone has access to a ride to space on a HOST, remember that we have a fully qualified flight unit DIGIPEATER and DTMF transponder module ready to fly as an attached payload to any HOST spacecraft. Lets call it QIKCOM-3. The mission of the identical QIKCOM-2 is described here: http://aprs.org/qikcom-2.html We delivered the QIKCOM-2 flight Unit#1 back in 2015, and it might finally fly this fall. So, I just realized that the backup FLIGHT unit is also ready to fly (attached to a suitable host). Unfortunately, the Air Force (responsible for all DoD satellite launches) has unilaterally declared that they will not accept any more Amateur Radio student satellites from the Naval Academy for flight on DoD launches*, and so this unit is available to anyone that can get it attached to a payload and get it launched. *this is a two year long battle and we appear to be losing. Don’t ask. I’ll give the sorrid tale when the last and final nail is in the coffin. But in the meantime, this module is available and so I wanted to get it out there for possible alternate rides to space. Since that seems to take several years… Bob, WB4APR

Although I have never had the chance to attend, the NOAA/SWPC Space Weather Workshops always have some interesting presentations, and PDFs of slides for many presentations are available to the public. One presentation at the 2017 event was titled "Satellite Tracking and Collision Avoidance (DOD)" by Capt. Fred Schmidt. Hi folks, AO73/FUNcube is now in amateur mode for the weekend with the transponder on! Please see below for all FUNcube mission info 73s Graham G3VZV and the FUNcube team. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ FUNcube frequencies and other details ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ AO-73 FUNcube-1 The transponder is normally operational only when the satellite is in eclipse, ie the solar panels are NOT being illuminated. During weekends (from pm Fridays UTC to PM Sundays UTC) the transponder is operational 24/7. When the transponder is switched off, the telemetry beacon is on full power, when the transponder is on the beacon it is on low power. During holidays, eg Christmas, New Year, Easter, etc, the transponder maybe activated for extended periods. Watch AMSAT-BB for announcements which are usually made on Friday evenings (UTC) The nominal transponder frequencies are: Uplink: 435.150 - 435.130 MHz LSB (Inverting) Downlink: 145.950 - 145.970 MHz USB Telemetry Tx: 145.935 MHz BPSK (The passband may be up to 15kHz higher depending on on-board temps. Lower temperatures give higher freqs!) FUNcube-2 (aka FUNcube on UKube) The FUNcube-2 sub-system continues to operate autonomously and, almost continuously, in amateur mode. The transponder is operational and the telemetry downlink is functioning with about 70mW output. The FUNcube-1 Dashboard does not correctly display the telemetry but it does correctly decode the data and uploads it to the FUNcube Data Warehouse from where it can be examined. Most of the real time data channels are operational and these include battery voltages, temperatures and ADCS data coming via the main On Board Computer (OBC). The transponder is interrupted for a few seconds every 2 minutes when the other transmitter sends its CW beacon and, occasionally, for a few seconds when the main OBC reboots (approx seven times each orbit). The nominal transponder frequencies are: Uplink: 435.080 - 435.060 MHz LSB (Inverting) Downlink: 145.930 - 145.950 MHz USB Telemetry Tx: 145.915 MHz BPSK (The passband may be up to 10kHz higher depending on on-board temps. Low temperatures give higher freqs!) EO79 FUNcube-3 Due to power budget constraints the transponder cannot be operational 24/7 and an orbit specific schedule has been developed. The transponder will commence operation 27 minutes after the spacecraft enters sunlight and will stay on for a period of 25 minutes. This schedule may be modified in future months as a result of experience. Alaska cruise 28 May - 4 June

On Sunday, 28 May , XYL and I depart Seattle to cruise the Inside Passage aboard the Emerald Princess. Ports include Ketchikan (CO45) on 30 May, Juneau (CO28) on 31 May and Skagway (CO27) on 1 June. There's also a brief stop in Victoria, B.C., on 3 June. With a TH-D72A and Arrow, I plan to operate available SO-50/AO-85 (and LilacSat-2, if it's on) passes from the AK ports of call as AA5PK/KL7. Since Princess Cruise Line has recently changed its onboard operating policy, AA5PK/VP9/MM operations are now unlikely. I'll try to advise via Twitter @AA5PK, depending on Internet access. This Memorial day weekend I'm going to be traveling to Portland for some tourism and to activate some grids in CN land. I fly into Portland early Friday morning and back out early Monday morning. Currently looking at heading to CN76/77 Friday then south to cn90-93 for Saturday. Since this is such a quick trip I'll do my best to operate passes that cover the lower 48 but at times it won't be possible. SatPC32 and Windows 10 Query

Hello All, I apologize in advance if this query is duncile, However I cannot seem to get the DDE service to talk to the rotor ( Yeasu GS-232 ) interface. I can manually send data to the LVB tracker, but the program will not send data to the port via the Yeasu GS-232 interface. I have the same issue with HRD as well, however PstRotor software works fine. I am running on a Windows 10 Note book.. Any help appreciated!! I have been through the manual, help files and the like. Gridders, I've had the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel on my Bucket List for many years and have decided to get it crossed-off this week. As a key part of the Trip, I'll be activating Delaware and several skinny Coastal Grids on Satellites. A number of folks have mentioned that they still need DE confirmed for their SAT-WAS. It'll be a quick trip with driving over 1200 miles in 3 days with numerous stops for passes and 2 overnights. I'll leave early on Wed 5/24 and head for Delaware in hopes of getting there early afternoon for several passes into the late evening. Thu 5/25 has me heading down the DelMarVa Peninsula to cross the Bridge by early evening when I'll be in the Norfolk Area. Fri 5/26 has me on the road for the Home QTH. My hope is to activate Grid Lines wherever possible to cut down the traveling. The plan is to do FM29/28/27/26/16 in that order on FO29, SO50, AO7 and the XW's. I have no set operating schedule as of now and will be relying on my phone's AMSAT-Droid for the Pass info. Item Numbers for QB50 Sats

Can anyone verify the item numbers for SPACECUBE and X-CUBESAT ?? The TLE's are published by Celestrak however their is no distinction for the Item numbers of which is which !! Thanks for any help JACK KC7MG

Plan another trip across the lower tier of Wyoming (aka I-80) on Saturday. If I leave home ~1200 UTC, I should be in DN71 ~ 1400 UTC and will be QRV for FM, linear and packet. Will be going thru DN71 thru DN31 on this trip. I'll do what I can to accommodate requests for grids given traffic and satellite availability. I had many satellite contacts with Bob KO6TZ over the years. My first satellite contact with Bob was on March 13, 2009 and my last satellite contact with him was on March 17, 2017. During that 8 year period we had contacts on SO-50, AO-51 and SO-67. I will miss him.

Sad news about KO6TZ. I worked Bob again the other day. We've logged many, many contacts especially since the launch of the XW-2 transponder satellites. It was not uncommon to talk to Bob via a series of XW-2 series passes for 30 minutes. 73 Clayton W5PFG
