ARISS anticipates that the contact would be held between July 1, 2022 and December 31, 2022. Crew scheduling and ISS orbits will determine the exact contact dates. To maximize these radio contact opportunities, ARISS is looking for organizations that will draw large numbers of participants and integrate the contact into a well-developed education plan. ARISS News Release No. 22-03 Dave Jordan, AA4KN ARISS PR aa4kn(a)amsat.org FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Eight US Schools Moved Forward inARISS Selection Process January11, 2022: Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) is pleasedto announce the schools/host organizations selected for the July 1 throughDecember 31, 2022, time period. A total of eight of the submitted proposalsduring the recent proposal window have been accepted to move forward in theprocesses of planning to host a scheduled amateur radio contact with crew onthe ISS. The primary goal of the ARISS program is to engage young people inScience, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) activities andraise their awareness of space communications, radio communications, spaceexploration, and related areas of study and career possibilities. TheARISS program anticipates that NASA will be able to provide schedulingopportunities for the eight US host organizations during the July 1 throughDecember 31, 2022, time period. They are now at work completing an acceptableequipment plan that demonstrates their ability to execute the ham radiocontact. Once their equipment plan is approved by the ARISS Technical Mentors,the final selected schools/organizations will be scheduled as theiravailability and flexibility match up with the scheduling opportunities offeredby NASA. Looking for help at Raleigh NC Hamfest, Saturday, April 16

Hi I know this is THREE months away, but John KG4AKV and I are looking for satellite operators to help at RARSfest. https://www.rarsfest.org/ As in the past, I'll be manning the AMSAT info table while John is planning to do demos (and answering questions at the booth, time permitting) A forum on satellites has been requested by the hamfest committee, and while it would be nice, it isn't mandatory. I've presented multiple times at club meetings and hamfests, so I don't mind doing the forum. . But I can't do the forum AND staff the table, so I'm requesting help. And I'll let any volunteers decide how and how much they would like to participate .If you want to do the forum, great! If you'd like to answer questions at the table while I'm presenting at the forum, that's great too! If there aren't any takers, we'll still have the info table and attempt demonstrations; the forum just won't happen. HO-113 passband edge test

I did a little test tonight and I think the edge of the top of the passband is around 10KHz higher than published. Don't have time to do the math on the bottom of the passband. Microsoft OneDrive

Word of warning: DON'T USE IT!! It can really screw up applications. In the case of N1MM+ that has a file in the Documents folder on your C: drive it will automatically back that up unless you are very careful. I've gotten myself in a real bind now with N1MM+ and maybe other apps but so far no problems with others yet....And it seems you can't reverse it once OneDrive has associated files with it. It's a real mess and Microsoft are real crooks to set something like that up as it also fills to free capacity limit quickly and then of course you have to pay them more $$$ to have more backup space. I've reached the conclusion that both Apple and Microsoft are crocks! I wish I knew enough about Linux as I'd move my shack to that if possible. 73 to you both. Rick, W2JAZ
