Space-Track is reporting that MARSCOM (29662) was a 'Recent Satellite
Decay' on May 6, 2007. It was part of the December 2006 launch off of
the the STS-116 Shuttle mission along with ANDE, RAFT and FCAL. Better
know by it's more commonly used name NMARS, I never heard if it's
27.9652 MHz downlink was ever successfully heard. The few times I
listened I never heard peep.
Anyone?

Robert,
I took the net last week and had planned to hold it again tonight, but I
realized that I have a school function I must attend (my daughter is singing
a solo in a concert). If you or someone else can take it tonight, I will try
to be net control for next week. Sorry for the short notice. I just realized
it was Thursday.
Thanks,
Dave
It's not a satellite launch, but these things sometime go to the edge
of space and often carry a amateur radio payload. Here's a link to the
University of Tennessee Amateur Radio Club in Knoxville UX-12 balloon
video. Kind of neat to see. But I would caution that if you are prone
to motion sickness you avoid watching it, or at the very least take
some Dramamine. ;-))
