Thanks for the email. Ken N5VHO brought me up to date on the Echolink situation in an email, so I think I can explain things to the gentlemen on the net next week. He is blind and gets most of his satellite info through us.
Welcome to Florida! There is a pretty active group of AMSAT folks around here, especially over in the Orlando area. I'm on the other side of the state in New Port Richey. If you are interested we have an AMSAT-Florida email list that has some activity on it, and we also have a statewide net that meets on Thursdays at 730PM. Your closest repeater would be 443.100 N4HHA in Orlando, or via Echolink node 4429 KG4YZY-R. Our next big function will probably be the Melbourne Hamfest in October, so be sure to drop in and say hi, we could always use help too if you have the time. I'd be happy to have some other active ACs here.

I read your message on the fieldops newsgroup last nite (I used to be a co-ordinator from NY before I moved down to Melbourne, Fl) Did you get the info you needed? I have listened to some of the contacts via the AMSAT conference in the past, I think we got notice via the echolink newsgroup, but I can check into that further. Let me know what info you need, and I'll see what I can dig up.
I have two sections of Rohn 20 for sale, pretty good shape, one has a bowed
zigzag where it was jacked apart. No rust, and straight. Rohn 20 uses the
same accessories as Rohn 25, just a little lighter construction and load
capacity, and one less zig-zag per section.
These are located in New Port Richey. $35 each picked up, firm but open to
trade offers. I have a friend with two more sections in Lutz too, if you
need more. I'll be home all weekend and can help load them for you.

Good Day Everyone,
For those of you that usually check into the Florida AMSAT Net at 19:30 ET on Thursdays through the N4HHA repeater in Orlando, the repeater has a new controller installed and appears to be working fine.
I haven't had a chance to speak with Mike about it, but I believe it is capable of linking to the NI4CE repeater system as usual, so tonight's net should go off without a hitch.
I won't be net control tonight due to water in my coax from Fay and a very high SWR. I be present using a weak indoor antenna just to check in. K4ACB has agreed to handle it tonight.
See you on the net,
I regret to say that the N4HHA repeater is still not repaired. I've tried to raise it several times today, but with no luck. I have tried to contact Mike by email and cellphone, but get no answer from email or phone. I tried to leave him a message, but his phone voice mail won't accept anymore. The only thing I can figure is that he is on vacation. I'm trying to find one of his buddies on the air so I can find out what the repeater status is.
Needless to say, I can't hold the net this evening, so if someone can kindly fill in again, I would appreciate it. I would offer to try to hold it by echolink, but I haven't been able to configure my computer for it yet. I hope things can get back to normal soon. I'll stay in touch. Thanks for everyone's understanding.

Please excuse if this has been posted already, as I have been away and have not been keeping close tabs on the AMSAT-BB reflector lately.
The P3E Lecture that was given at the AMSAT-UK Colloquium by Peter DB2OS is available for viewing on the British Amateur Television Club web site.
It's located under the Film Archive Channel and is listed as AMSAT-UK Lecture 9 from the drop down menu.
The other presentation are also available except I couldn't find the P5A lecture. Possibility it hasn't been processed yet ?

Just a heads up for everyone. I have an AMSAT presentation to give at a local club meeting tonight and won't be able to help with the net. I have another issue too. Mike Burke's local repeater that links us into the NI4CE system has a fried controller. I haven't had time to get with Mike to see what is being done about this. I'll try to touch base with him next week and see what is the plan to fix it. Until then, all stations connecting to the net through N4HHA repeater in Orlando will need to use echolink or somehow link into the NI4CE system via radio.
