Can anyone one help Ron and Don out by speaking to their group about AMSAT
and amateur satellites. I would do it, but I'm all the way over here in
Orlando and currently have my hands full with other ham activites.
Thanks,

David,
No one has contacted me about a AMSAT presentation or talk at our club
meeting. Don't know about Don, KA2KDP.
Don has followed sat comm and AMSAT for years. I remember when the first
Ham sat went up, but at the time I had no 2 meter equipment. Long time ago
before repeaters.
We would like someone who has recently operated with all the new things
AMSAT has been doing.
Please have someone contact me or Don. I would assume it would be someone
local, in Pasco Co just north of Tampa.
Let us know.

No tone, all are welcome.
I can't hold the net tonight. I may be in there for a short visit, but have
a lot to do to prepare for the Conference this weekend.
Hope someone can cover it.

I'd be happy to do it and you can't get much closer than I am. Let me know when the club meets and I'll see what I can do.

HQ8R SWAN ISLAND DXPEDITON
SATELLITE COMMUNICATION
Florida AMSAT Net, on the 443.1 MHz N4HHA repeater, On the NI4CE system of
repeaters and over Echolink at KG4YZY-R, node# 4429, on Thursday April 10th
at 19:30 ET.
Following a Preamble and announcements, Bill Dzurilla, NZ5N,
http://www.qrz.com/nz5n will present his adventures to, during and from the
recent Swan Island Dxpedition which ended about March 27.
Web site: http://www.hondurasdx.com/
Please email questions you would like to ask Bill to: David Jordan, AA4KN,
at: aa4kn(a)amsat.org Dave is only accepting questions sent PRIOR to net time.
Additional questions will be allowed as time permits.
This will allow reduction of duplicate questions and also allow David to be
heard by everyone via the repeater. Please include your Name and Call Sign.
Credit of the Name and Call Sign will be given over the repeater for those
questions sent to David.
During prior events, many mobile units were unable to present a consistent
r.f. signal into the repeater. Also a more smoothly run net will occur by
reducing the number of "overs" etc.

The last time I was over there to view a shuttle launch, 146.94 repeater carried live launch info. Too bad it isn't a 5:01 AM launch. The view would be much more spectacular.
Enjoy the show... Keith N4ZQ
