Hi All using Spectogram I analysed the audio signal from Yubileiny as follows:- main carrier 2400hz the bandwidth being 120hz wide so far as could tell. I estimate that the central carrier was pulsing at 4 times/sec, if these figures sound familiar to anybody please let me know! At 0515 +/- utc today 26 May 08 RS30 sent in CW: rs30 us160 ibs16 usun1 isun0 itxa6 itxb6 ttxa65 ttxb66 tnap89 tnb66 msep0 mcon53 sma114 smb-- mrbn2 ---- rs30 us160 ibs14 usun1 isun0 itxa6 itxb6 ------ ------ tnap89 tnb66 msep0 mcon63 sma114 smb88 mrbn2 mrxb2 rs30 ----indicates I didn't hear it "live", but I still have the wav file. If in RS22 format: US = UBS IBS, USUN, ISUN, ITXA, ITXB are as previously reported. TTXA, TTXB are transmitter temperatures -100 TNAP is temperature of navigation unit -100 TNB, MSEP, MCON, SMA, SMB, MRBN, MRXB are not identified. I sugegst that the modifications to temperatures and voltages ( -100 and /100) in RS22 may not apply to RS30 ?? From the Shetland Islands, it looks like there's at least some overlap to 49 states. For example, my predictions show 1.4 minutes from Lerwick, UK to Redding, CA [Tue 27May08 23:30:20-23:31:45] and 1.2 min. overlap from Lerwick, UK to Flagstaff, AZ [Wed 28May08 22:39:07-22:40:18]. Even Inverness, Scotland has 1.3 min overlap with Redding, CA (while AO-7 barely has half that overlap). I known because i'll be in the Shetlands for almost a week in August... It sure would be nice to have some kind of voice transponder in that type of orbit... Aside from HEO, only RS-15 [if it worked] could beat that. -- KD6PAG

During its pass today over the California, I did pick up the cw telemetry but didn't hear any additional signals. An excerpt of the CW beacon can be found at my blog: http://brainwagon.org/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/rs30.mp3 Recording was done with my FT-817ND and my Arrow antenna, I didn't track Doppler. 05/26/2008 01:06:50 Pass over US East Coast (south to north) sounded like the FM carrier would come on .. but then shut down .. This seems to be a new behavior.
