Greetings! Here are some youtube videos of a satellite tracking system built around an Arduino. It is still in its early stages. I am still lurking on the birds; very new to amateur radio and listening. Looking forward to making contacts as I get dialed in. SatPC32 - Yaesu-232B follow up

At this point, I now have the computer talking to the GS-232B and talking to the G-5500. I was having the issue with the Sat32PC version C. Version C was looking for Yaesu SDX program. As it turns out, it couldn't find the SDX program in Version C, however, I uninstalled version C and installedVersion B the SDX program appeared. (not sure why) So at this point .... things are communicating. So here is the next question. The elevation and azimuth readings on the computer and rotor control box do not match up. It seems the meters on the Yaesu control box move much faster than the readings on computer. I have adjusted the output adjustment pots on the rotor control box, and this is the best I can come up with for comparison purposes ...... When the rotor controls say the elevation is at 45 the computer says 22 When the rotor controls says the azimuth is at 180 the computer says 146 Are there any suggestions. Thank you Brian, KG8CO

Gould Smith, WA4SXM as Director-Field Operations. The public announcement was made during the Field Operations Forum held in conjunction with the 34th AMSAT Space Symposium held on board Carnival Liberty on 12 Nov 2016. Field Operations consists of AMSAT volunteers who serve as Area Coordinators in their local areas. As “Ambassadors of AMSAT”, they give AMSAT presentations at local club meetings or at hamfests, manage an AMSAT table/booth at a hamfest, or support local satellite operations as ‘elmers’ to new satellite operators. Gould previously served as Director-Field Operations from 2004-2008 prior to becoming VP-User Services from 2008-2013. Gould is also the author of several books published by AMSAT starting in 1990 with “Getting Started With Amateur Satellites” the current AMSAT publication that carries his name. Due to medical issues, Gould was forced to resign from the Board of Directors and as VP-User Services in 2014 to focus on his medical concerns. Two years later, Gould’s medical recovery is now such that he’s once again in position to support AMSAT. In conjunction with this transition, Patrick Stoddard, WD9EWK now serves as “Lead Area Coordinator”, essentially functioning as Gould’s Executive Officer. Further to the reports regarding "Pratham " being heard on145.980 Mhz. I am pleased to report and add my call- sign and country to the list of those that have once again heard the satellite beacon. Sunday 18th December 2016 pass beginning 1105 hrs - going North to south max elevation 39 degress. Same equipment "Elk " antenna with tracking software and my Kenwood TS-2000 - Same warbling signal and easy to copy as I heard in the very early stages after its launch - No confusion.
