If anyone would like to see how the WiSP software handles uploading & downloading files to FalconSat-3, I made a video of the highest elevation pass tonight: https://youtu.be/9spO1e8NVj0 ... I don't understand it all yet, but am seeing some uploads & downloads. I keep UISS open and ready in case anyone is active w/ APRS packets, but on this pass I didn't transmit from UISS to give the MSPE program from WiSP maximum time to work. APRS Satellites (QIKCOM-1 a GO for this Friday AM)

QIKCOM-1 should deploy from the ISS Friday at 0920 UTC or so attached to the SIMPL spacecraft. It is an APRS digipeater just like the ISS and also supports the same ARISS alias as the ISS digipeater. Or you can be specific via QIKCOM-1 callsign. At 4 Watts, it will be 10 dB stronger than PSAT(84) and about the same power level as ISS and should be easy to receive on the 145.825 downlink. We ask all potential IGates to check your ground stations and make sure they are ready to IGate packets during those initial orbits from all over the globe. If you do not have an IGate, just capture packets and email them to qikcom1(a)gmail.com until we see that everything is making it to the APRS-IS. The downlink should be available on the original http://pcsat.findu.com and also on http://59.167.159.165/satreporter/index2.html Being released from ISS, QIKCOM-1 will of course have the same Elements and tracking info as ISS until they begin to separate. This means passes over the USA every 90 minutes beginning at 0630 EDT in the Southeast and ending after 1440 PDT in Southern California. For the initial passes, do not attempt 2-way contacts. An International Space Station school contact has been planned with participants at Istituto Tecnico Tecnologico "Enzo Ferrari", Borgo A Mozzano, Italy and Liceo Statale "G. D. Cassini", Sanremo, Italy on 28 Oct. The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 08:13 UTC. The duration of the contact is approximately 9 minutes and 30 seconds. The contact will be direct between NA1SS and IQ5LU and IQ1SM. The contact should be audible over Italy and adjacent areas. Interested parties are invited to listen in on the 145.80 MHz downlink. The contact is expected to be conducted in Italian. HAM TV is planned for this contact. "Enzo Ferrari" Institute is located in Borgo a Mozzano, Lucca and is one by four schools of "Barga" Institute in Lucca, Tuscany. "Enzo Ferrari" Institute is a secondary technical chemical school where teaching is focused on scientific subjects: math, physics, chemistry, biology and natural sciences. The ARISS Chemistry space project will be an essential part of the School Curriculum - POF- (Annual educational plan) of the next school years and will involve students of the first and second classes, for the two year period 2016 - 2018 (10 classes, 200 students, 14-19). The High School G.D. Cassini of Sanremo is part of the higher education school system of the Italian Republic and is located in Sanremo. The Institute is named the scientist "Gian Domenico Cassini", as well as the Cassini-Huygens Mission. Our School is considered to be one of the most ancient Italian higher education schools, its foundation being established in 1859 during the Savoy monarchy. Three study specializations are available: classical, scientific and linguistic. At the end of this type of school, lasting five years, students who pass the State Exam can access any university departments. (1100 students, 14-19). Please use the ALIAS of APRSAT on your uplinks instead of ARISS so that you only hit QIKCOM-1 for these first few passes with your test uplinks (once a minute). *Sent:* Thursday, October 26, 2017 4:01 PM *To:* 'AMSAT-BB' *Subject:* APRS Satellites (QIKCOM-1 a GO for this Friday AM) QIKCOM-1 should deploy from the ISS Friday at 0920 UTC or so attached to the SIMPL spacecraft. It is an APRS digipeater just like the ISS but responds to the APRSAT path (and also to ARISS). So use the APRSAT path for these early tests to only trigger QIKCOM-1 to digipeat. At 4 Watts, it will be 10 dB stronger than PSAT(84) and about the same power level as ISS and should be easy to receive on the 145.825 downlink. We ask all potential IGates to check your ground stations and make sure they are ready to IGate packets during those initial orbits from all over the globe. If you do not have an IGate, just capture packets and email them to qikcom1(a)gmail.com until we see that everything is making it to the APRS-IS. The downlink should be available on the original http://pcsat.findu.com and also on http://59.167.159.165/satreporter/index2.html Being released from ISS, QIKCOM-1 will of course have the same Elements and tracking info as ISS until they begin to separate. This means passes over the USA every 90 minutes beginning at 0630 EDT in the Southeast and ending after 1440 PDT in Southern California. For the initial passes, do not attempt 2-way contacts. Here is a how to to get Falsconsat-3 with a Airspy Mini 1. Download and install orbitron as usual 2. Download the My DDE client from the orbitron site 3. Place the MyDDE files into the orbitron directory 4. Download an older version of SDR# < 1400 5. Download the satellite tracker plugin and place in sdr# directory 6. Modify the orbitron config file 7. Modify the Plugins.xml for SDR# Run up orbitron and sdr# ( old version ) and select "SDRSharp" from the Radio / Rotor DDE selection. The key is to get an OLD version of SDR# 8. Install Virtual Audio Cable 9. Install UZ7HO High Speed 9600 Baud decoder ( Enable KISS ) 10. Run your own program to take in the KISS ( I use UI-VIEW ) Andrew

Dupes in DireWolf ( sats )

Hello I have been sitting watching the last satellite pass of Falconsat-3 Direwolf was dumping packets like APRS-IS does due to dupes So UNLESS we modify dire wolf and run an Independent server We will never truly know the packets received by a Satellite Ground Station. I am willing to try a multi tread TCP server But until dire wolf does dupe checking we are not going to get anywhere Andrew Rich VK4TEC
