The program can easily detect and fix the TLE preliminary data errors for working in satellite programs after launching the satellite in orbit The original version of the program released before launching Fox-1D works in Windows-7 and higher. Version that works in Windows XP is now added. The program name for Win-XP changes to TLEdoctor. Hi folks, AO73/FUNcube is now in amateur mode for the weekend with the transponder on! Please see below for all FUNcube mission info 73s Graham G3VZV and the FUNcube team. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ FUNcube frequencies and other details ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ AO-73 FUNcube-1 The transponder is normally operational only when the satellite is in eclipse, ie the solar panels are NOT being illuminated. During weekends (from pm Fridays UTC to PM Sundays UTC) the transponder is operational 24/7. When the transponder is switched off, the telemetry beacon is on full power, when the transponder is on the beacon it is on low power. During holidays, eg Christmas, New Year, Easter, etc, the transponder maybe activated for extended periods. Watch AMSAT-BB for announcements which are usually made on Friday evenings (UTC) The nominal transponder frequencies are: Uplink: 435.150 - 435.130 MHz LSB (Inverting) Downlink: 145.950 - 145.970 MHz USB Telemetry Tx: 145.935 MHz BPSK (The passband may be up to 15kHz higher depending on on-board temps. Lower temperatures give higher freqs!) FUNcube-2 (aka FUNcube on UKube) The FUNcube-2 sub-system continues to operate autonomously and, almost continuously, in amateur mode. The transponder is operational and the telemetry downlink is functioning with about 70mW output. The FUNcube-1 Dashboard does not correctly display the telemetry but it does correctly decode the data and uploads it to the FUNcube Data Warehouse from where it can be examined. Most of the real time data channels are operational and these include battery voltages, temperatures and ADCS data coming via the main On Board Computer (OBC). The transponder is interrupted for a few seconds every 2 minutes when the other transmitter sends its CW beacon and, occasionally, for a few seconds when the main OBC reboots (approx seven times each orbit). The nominal transponder frequencies are: Uplink: 435.080 - 435.060 MHz LSB (Inverting) Downlink: 145.930 - 145.950 MHz USB Telemetry Tx: 145.915 MHz BPSK (The passband may be up to 10kHz higher depending on on-board temps. Low temperatures give higher freqs!) EO79 FUNcube-3 Due to power budget constraints the transponder cannot be operational 24/7 and an orbit specific schedule has been developed. The transponder will commence operation 27 minutes after the spacecraft enters sunlight and will stay on for a period of 25 minutes. This schedule may be modified in future months as a result of experience. Complete Satellite Antenna System For Sale

I've decided to part with my home station and go back to being a fully portable operator for the foreseeable future. So here's what I got: 145mhz Innovantenna 5 Element X-Pol 435mhz Innovantenna 10 Element X-Pol (Factory New, just unboxed, inventoried and repackaged). 2x Innovantenna 2m Balun 2x Innovantenna 70cm Balun 2x Comet 4160N Dupelxers 2x C2G N-Male to N-Male Barrel Connector 2x Tohtsu CX520D Relays, with Dissapation Capacitor Installed. 2x 12 Gauge Wires to Relays with Soldered Ends 4x Andrew CNT-400 Short Jumpers (2' to 4') with Amphenol N-Male Connectors for between Baluns and Relays. 2x DXE Basic Saddle Clamps for Mounting Box 1x DXE Heavy Duty Saddle Clamp for 145mhz X-Pol boom. $550 + Shipping (Guessing it will be about $75 anywhere in the lower 48, will get an exact quote if A few notes - the 145mhz X-Pol was outside for about 10 months at my QTH (Just long enough for me to get my 488 finished) as was an old 435mhz beam, but I damaged part of the 435mhz during disassembly, therefore I ordered replacement 435 metal and it is all factory new never exposed to the weather. All the relays and duplexers were inside weatherproof housings on the Mast and all in good working order. I also drilled holes for a heavy duty DXE saddle clamp on the 2m boom because I had some trouble with the factory saddle clamp slipping on my fiberglass cross beam. There's no slipping now. Any BIRDS-2 digipeats or QSOs yet?

Has anyone been successful in digipeating (or making QSOs) on the BIRDS-2 satellites yet? I don't think I've seen any positive reports here on QRZ.com, Twitter, or AMSAT-BB, although the BIRDS-2 team reported the digipeater has been active since 8/23. I'm going to try the 1832Z pass in a couple of hours. Maya-1 should be in digipeating mode per the published Comm plan. Then will be on ISS at 1849Z. 73, Ryan AI6DO

We have set this mode as the satellite is about to enter a period of continuous sunlight (for about 9 months). recently upgraded to sat32 ver 12.8D The maps do not center on the observer. It appears that the maps follow the active satellite. under setup-options the center map is selected on observer! no effect even after save and restart several times. Any ideas? ThanksJim KI6WJ

Radio selection: FT-818 vs IC-7100

Hi everyone, time for another “what radio is right for me” thread. I haven’t seen one compare these two: IC-7100 and an FT-818. Primarily looking at satellite work, but I’m also interested in HF digital (primarily FT8). I’ve already got an Arrow antenna, and a potatoFeng. Right now I use an SDR to receive, and CubicSDR works pretty well for that-I’ve gotten adept at moving the tuning while using the Armstrong method of Alt/Az locating. I haven’t tried transmitting, just because my HT has pretty poor transmit characteristics. So I feel I’m pretty good on the full duplex issue. Cost isn’t an issue, with the current rebate on the IC-7100 they are close enough to not matter. And the accessories needed will balance out (for the Icom, tuner and power supply, for the Yaesu, tuner, and signalink-I have an adequate power supply). For the short term (6 months or so) most of my satellite operating is going to be from a card table in the back yard, or portable. HF will be a little more permanent, so each radio will have to be disconnected, moved, and setup again for satellite stuff. That’s the paralysis—the FT will probably be easier to move, but the IC is more sensitive. So I think my criteria is coming down to ergonomics of operating vs sensitivity and HF power. I use MacDoppler for tracking, and will probably rely on it for downlink shift on the radios, with my SDR as backup. Oh, I already do QRP CW on 20, so I’m not too nervous about power of the 818. Thoughts on AZ/EL rotors

I've been using the sats with my Arrow and HT and am considering the jump to a more robust station. I'm pretty well set with my TS-2000 and I can figure out antennas, but the interwebs are a major tangle of articles about tracking systems, and I'm having problems sorting out the info overload. I'm in south Texas and planning a permanent installation, so weather hardiness is necessary. This seems to me to rule out SatNOGs and Portable Rotation systems. The main alternative I'm seeing is the Yaesu G-5500 (Alfa Spid is more than I'm wanting to spend). Where things get really murky is the computer interface. The GS232A is a bit on the expensive side. There are many alternatives, but many are no longer in production or are technically outdated. What I'm looking for from the group is recommendations for Az-El rotor systems and computer interfaces (I'm using SATPC32 and HRD for the tracking software). Cool. My other scope mounts are equatorials, so I’d rather not go through a meridian flip. It’s the guts of an old DS Meade, runs on 12V, and tracks I think well enough for radio. Next up is an Arduino wireless based unit to be able to rotate the Arrow circularly. But that shouldn’t be too hard-I’m having more trouble figuring out Fusion 360 to design the brackets. controller for g5500 rotor

I am using a Fox Delta controller with my G5500. I am unable to calibrate it and make it function correctly. I do not see the controller that was available for years on the AMSAT website. What controllers are available to replace the FOX Delta? It will interface with sat32pc. Jim KI6WJ

antenna for 1.2 Ghz

For the VHF/UHF contest in September, there will be a group active locally...and running 1.2 GHz! Since L-band is active on AO-92, and I have the equipment - but no antenna - I'm looking for an L--band antenna that I can use both terrestrially and for the birds. My preference is for M^2, but both yagis on their website are a little larger than what I'm looking for - but they are still under consideration. Does anyone have recommendations for another brand, or have an appropriate one for sale? (I wish I had bought some of those loop yagis which were prominently displayed in Ball Arena at Hamvention in the early 90s...) (I'll be at Shelby NC Hamfest this Saturday (mostly at the AMSAT info table), in case someone is attending who has one and wants to bring it .) Thanks Philip N4HF

Detailed doppler measurements show that SiriusSat 1 is object 43595 (1998-067PG) and that SiriusSat 2 is either object 43596 or object 43597. The BIRD 2 cubesats were identified earlier by DK3WN and confirmed by others: UiTMSat 1 is object 43589 Maya 1 is object 43590 Bhutan 1 is object 43591.
