Need satellite op in Va to operate our 13 Colonies station

I am Virginia coordinator for the annual 13 Colonies Special Event; our call is K2B. This year, the event coordinators are trying to get satellite operators, which they explained to me as follows: This email is going out to all State and Bonus station Managers. I know it is 20 days to go, but am asking a favor this year. It is in regards to the SATELLITES! It would be super if we can get just ONE operator from each state ... to work the Sat's. We tried this a few years back with limited success. There is also a Satellite endorsement for the certificate which only requires ONE Sat contact. Also an award plaque for the most Sat contacts. WM3PEN, GB13COL and TM13COL single operators will be included for the award. The more the merrier :) I will volunteer to be the SAT manager just for this year due to the short notice. UNLESS some one would like to do it! All I need is an email from you giving me the call sign of YOUR Sat OP! If we get at least 75% of the states to do this (12 STATIONS INCLUDING BONUS STATIONS OUT OF 16) It is a GO! If not? Anyone can still operate the Sats. Let me know ASAP because time is short. Ham Spy transmitter in WWII

I'm reading "the secret wireless war" and am surprised that the entire basis for transmitters throughout the British traffic network including spy radios and fixed stations transmission of decrypted ULTRA (Enigma) traffic to those with need-to-know was handled by a two tube 6V6 and 804 arrangement called the MKIII. The secret service built them all themselves from the design in the ham radio handbook to avoid raising suspicions if they began buying the few commercial ham equipment. That is the same arrangement as the first Novice transmitter I built back in 1963 in middle school just 18 years after the war. Amazing. Bob, WB4APR.

ARISS is the group that putstogether special amateur radio contacts between students around the globe and crewmembers with ham radio licenses on the International Space Station (ISS). This will be a telebridge contact via amateur radio and students will take turnsasking their questions of Astronaut Shane Kimbrough, amateurradio call sign KE5HOD. Englishis the language that will be used during this contact. Bothonsite and remote access will be provided to the student body at the time ofthe contact per Covid-19 guidelines. The downlink frequency for this contact is437.525 MHZ and may be heard by listeners that are within the ISS-footprintthat also encompasses the telebridge station. TheARISS team in Casale Monferrato, Italy will use call sign IK1SLD to serve asthe ARISS relay amateur radio ground station.
