The satellites were placed into a circular MEO orbit of approximately 5,900 km with a 70 degree inclination. The AstroBio and Greencube satellites carry amateur digipeater packages that may be useful for long-distance QSOs. On July 21st, Russian cosmonaut Oleg Artemyev and ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti conducted an EVA during which they released ten Radioskaf CubeSats into orbit. The drop indicates that the space industry isn't immune to the economic issues plaguing other industries as a possible recession looms. The unpiloted supply ship launched Thursday evening, July 14, from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on top of a Falcon 9 rocket. The ever-outspoken leader of the agency since 2018 became particularly bombastic in his nationalistic threats and grandstanding after the invasion of Ukraine . This strained relations with ESA and NASA above and beyond the diplomatic tensions already caused by the unprovoked invasion. On the same day as his dismissal, Roscosmos and NASA signed a long-anticipated seat exchange agreement to fly ‘integrated crews’ to the ISS aboard Crew Dragon and Soyuz. First flights including members of the opposite agency will be this fall with Crew-5 and Soyuz MS-22. Rogozin’s replacement is Yuri Borisov, a long-time figure in Russian defense and politics. Ten Russian cubesats to be deployed from the ISS

On July 21 Russian cosmonaut Oleg Artemyev and ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti will carry out an EVA outside the ISS. During that 7 hours long EVA, starting at around 14:00 UTC, the spacewalkers are planned to deploy ten Russian cubesats into orbit under the program of the space experiment "Radioskaf". The EVA, including the deployment of the cubesats, can be witnessed live on NASA-TV. I am still having desense on my UHF downlink on the IC-9700. Antenna is a 30 element M2 CP Yagi with SSB Preamp at the antenna. I have yet to check connections at the end for any problems, but will do so. Connectos are all Type N on system. Is there any better option than the Comet CF-416C diplexer to help or even eliminate the 2M uplink from desensing the 70CM downlink ? I would have to weatherize it to ensure longlife, etc. Perhaps there is a sealed inline filter that would handle the capability of the radio which is 75 watts out on 70CM. I remember my high school physics teacher had us calculate the gravitational attraction between two students sitting 1 meter apart. I don't remember the value, but it was vanishingly small. Wrapping up the discussion he suggested that any attraction we might feel towards any other student in the classroom could not be explained by physics, and suggested it might be explained by "chemistry". de KM1P Joe
