Ludicrous
What the majority considers absurd or irrational.
You are probably referring to:
" looked at the state department rules on exporting a satellite to china?"
I agree 100% with you on this one and you can added Cuba Iran North Korea,
and i'm sure i missed a couple here. As it was sexy at a time not anymore and
as you said it is actually "Ludicrous"...
If you read carefully i also said it was not sexy... and even more for the
pistols guys...who like to shoot on everything who bothers them!

I know its not sexy but is anyone think about China for a possible Amateur
satellite Payload launcher? Could be they can be less "chilly" about side car
payload effects?
They seems to not be bothered too much with principles when times come to blow
out their own satellite in space!
Just my 2 Yuan...
"China launched a satellite Wednesday to begin a three-year mission surveying
the world's oceans to monitor sea color and temperature, according to state
media reports.
The Haiyang 1B satellite is China's second oceanographic satellite, and it
replaces an earlier craft that stopped working in 2004, according to the Xinhua
news agency.
Liftoff of Haiyang 1B occurred at 0327 GMT (11:27 p.m. EDT Tuesday) from
Taiyuan launch center in northeastern China's Shanxi province, Xinhua reported.
A two-stage Long March 2C rocket deployed the payload into orbit a few minutes
later, completing China's second space launch of the year. The flight of the
138-foot-tall booster marked the Long March rocket family's 54th consecutive
successful mission since 1996.
Haiyang 1B was delivered to a Sun-synchronous orbit circling Earth's poles.
This type of orbit allows satellites to fly over much of the planet at set
intervals.
The craft is the second ocean surveying satellite fielded by China, and its
mission will include pushing Chinese development of ocean resources, aiding the
construction of new harbors and ports, and monitoring ocean pollution,
according
to Xinhua."

Hi Tony, N2UN
Congratulations for your transatlantic QSO both on CW and SSB via
FO-29 orbit 52631 between your FN30AS and my JN70ES ( 7101.9 km )
only using 20 watt and a 4 elements yagi on your partable setup.
Beginning from 16:31:30 to 16:33:00 UTC your CW signal was very
clear at 435.840 MHz with no QSB or interference and you were Q5 all
the way.
Tanks to Frank IW4DVZ leaving free the frequency to me for this
experiment.
When I requested you to switch in SSB I was able to get your very clear
replay 2 kHz upper than CW between 16:33:00 to 16:34:00 UTC up to
the satellite LOS when you says to me " I get problems with headphone
and microphone............! !"
You are right Tony .......because the SSB QSO was not scheduled at all
and even that on CW was in doubt of a success.Anyway I could hear that
you were there in SSB with a clear signal and we will try again only in SSB
on the next opportunity.
Just after my first CW call for you Tony from 16:30 to 16:31 UTC I got an
SSB answere from Clare VE3NPC but I apologise Clare it was a Q5 QSO
with you in a hurry because of the sked with Tony.

Hi all,
I'm thinking of retiring my Kenwood TS711/811 combination in favour of the Icom
910, so I can add 23cm and 9600baud i/o to my station.
Reading some of the reviews on ehams have not entirely been favourable. I'd
like to hear from any one who owns or has used the 910 before I part with my $s.
regards
Tim
