Yes -- it was a bad day for tracking. I had to uninstall and reinstall NLSA. I used Celestrak's web site for good Keplerian elements and reload. Still picking up the pieces. cleaning coax connectors

All: Seeking advice on a cleaning solution for N-connectors which have been stored on cable in a barn and show a little verdigris. That is, they have been protected from direct rain, but not ambient humidity. I considered some TV-tuner and control cleaner I have here, but that leaves a libricating residue with unknown effects on dielectric behavior, etc. Surely somebody's been thru this before! Maybe I'm just confused, but isn't making a 2 way contact the point of working satellites? This evenings pass of AO-51 made me want to pack up my satellite gear and sell it on ebay. I haven't been on the sat's in while and I unpacked the arrow and TH-d7 tonight to make sure it was still working. I listened to a pass of AO-51 and it was absolutely crazy. Do you people have any common sense? What is the point of calling you call over and over again if nobody can answer you because everyone else is doing the same? I think I may have heard 2 complete contacts for a 8 minute pass....... There is no point in anyone trying to make a contact with a hand held - all the BIG guns will be covering you with pointless calling..... What gives? -- Paul D. AO-7 health?

Hi all, I've been trying to work some AO-7 passes tonight, in preparation for Field Day. While the bird seems normally void of all other activity, I noticed a "warbling" (or severe distortion) of the CW beacon and my own signal (which I assume is nominal, having made other contacts tonight). I know this is an old bird and we're lucky its around for its 2nd fifth-anniversary. Any ideas? 73, Dave NøTGD

Space-Track Keplerian elements

Dear friends, We should continue to be careful downloading Keplerian elements from Space-Track.org. All of the files there are empty, so if you have an automated downloading program like Nova, it will overwrite its Keps with zero data. Last call for used M2 antenna's

Hi all, I posted this awhile back but thought I would give it one more shot before placing my order at the end of this month. I had a few people think they could ship them, but disassembly posses a problem for most people due to the slip nuts used to hold the elements in place. I don't care if the seller cuts one of the clips off since I can replace them as needed...... **************************************************************************** ***************** Original edited message......
