ARISS anticipates that the contact would be held between January 1, 2022 and June 30, 2022. Crew scheduling and ISS orbits will determine the exact contact dates. To maximize these radio contact opportunities, ARISS is looking for organizations that will draw large numbers of participants and integrate the contact into a well-developed education plan. The deadline to submit a proposal is March 31st, 2021. Proposal information and more details such as expectations, proposal guidelines and the proposal form can be found at www.ariss.org. An ARISS Introductory Webinar session will be held on February 25th, 2021 at 8 PM ET. These radio contacts are approximately 10 minutes in length and allow students to interact with the astronauts through a question-and-answer session. ARISS contacts afford education audiences the opportunity to learn firsthand from astronauts what it is like to live and work in space and to learn about space research conducted on the ISS. Tracking with SatPC32

After a long absence, I'm getting back into satellite communications. I notice the LVB tracker is no longer available in the AMSAT store. Also, the GS-232 Yaesu rotator seems to be out of production. What is the current solution for using SatPC32 to track? I started reading the "gettin started" articles in the Journal archives but I'm still reading 2019 articles. Can someone please update me? I'd really like to work AO7 again...it was the first satellite I was ever able to track my "dits" through... Thanks and 73 de Tim K4SHF

ARISS anticipates that the contact would be held between January 1, 2022 and June 30, 2022. Crew scheduling and ISS orbits will determine the exact contact dates. To maximize these radio contact opportunities, ARISS is looking for organizations that will draw large numbers of participants and integrate the contact into a well-developed education plan. ARISS is thegroup that puts together special amateur radio contacts between students aroundthe globe and crew members with ham radio licenses on the International Space Station (ISS). This will be a Multipoint Telebridge Contact via Amateur Radio between the ISS and students inthe Loudoun County Public School system (Sterling Middle School in Ashburn, VAas lead). Students will take turns asking their questions of ISS astronaut ShannonWalker, amateur radio call sign KD5DXB, during the ARISS radio contact. The downlink frequency for this contact is145.800 MHz. The ARISS team using call sign ON4ISS in Aartselaar, Belgium will serveat the ARISS relay amateur radio station. Each student asking a question on the ARISS radio will beconferenced in from home or social-distanced at school. TheARISS radio contact is scheduled for February 9, 2021 at 9:44 am EST (Ashburn,VA) (14:44 UTC, 8:44 am CST, 7:44 am MST, 6:44 am PST). Three publicschools in the Loudoun County Public School system will be participating in theARISS contact: Sterling Middle School (host school) (1,098 students, grades6-8), Guilford Elementary School (580 students, grades PreK-5), and SterlingElementary School (475 students, grades PreK-5). Their STEM curricula includeclasses in Coding, Robotics, Science, and Math. Specifically, 6th grade studentslearn about Astronomy and have been eagerly following various developments atNASA, including the Artemis Mission. The 6th grade class had participatedin a successful, medium-altitude balloon launch sponsored by one of theschool’s STEM partners, the Udvar-Hazy Smithsonian National Air and SpaceMuseum. The students learned how to track the balloon’s amateur radio payloadup the East Coast to Newfoundland. The other STEM partners include, the LoudounAmateur Radio Group and Sterling Park Amateur Radio Club. Members of these hamradio groups provide presentations to students about radio communication,antennas, satellite tracking, and radio theory of operation. I've been trying to figure out the correct process to engage NO-84 so testing for understanding here. I can hear occasional PSK-31 in short bursts but have not been able to decode it yet. I want to make sure I understand what settings to use. Downlink USB & use FLDigi etc. for decode PSK-31 Receive downlink is USB? What part of the spectrum Is the downlink typically in (Hz)? Uplink is on 10 Meters USB also or LSB? Assuming FLDigi will work PSK-31 fine for Uplink also? What do I send on uplink, just station ID? Thanks & look forward to having another bird to play with. Clint: Are all ham radio activities on the ISS affected by the recently reported problems with newly installed coax?? If I recall, a few school contacts had to be scrubbed.
