ND9M/mm Grid Ops - 5/9

Today's ops were from RK07 on JO-97, QK97 on RS-44 and XW-2F, and QK86 on CAS-4A/4B. I was on three other passes, but did not make any contacts. For tomorrow (5/9), I'll try to be on from QK66 on CA-4A/4B at 09/0300Z (midday LT), then from either QK66 or QK65 on RS-44 at 09/0900Z and from QK65 on CAS-4A/4B at 09/0940-0955Z. A short time later, I will probably be in QK55 for XW-2A at 09/1030Z, JO-97 at 1115Z, and CAS-4A/4B between 09/1120-1135Z. As we move west, we're finally coming into range of IO-86 for its late evening activation, and I'll try it at local AOS at 09/1212Z for the last few minutes before it turns off. Its passes were pretty busy when I was in this region last year. We're also in range of FO-29's operating periods, but my work schedule gets in the way. We have our 10th and final time change tonight; we'll be at GMT+10 for the rest of the way. 73/Jim, ND9M

ARISS anticipates that the contact would be held between January 1, 2022 and June 30, 2022. Crew scheduling and ISS orbits will determine the exact contact dates. To maximize these radio contact opportunities, ARISS is looking for organizations that will draw large numbers of participants and integrate the contact into a well-developed education plan. Today's grids included RK27 on RS-44 and CAS-4B; there were no QSOs made over XW-2A. Later on, I got RK17 into some logs on JO-97. For tomorrow (5/8), I'll try AO-91 at 08/0044Z from RK07. We should cross into QK97 in the late afternoon (LT), and I'll be on from there on RS-44 at 08/0645Z and XW-2C/D/F in the 08/0718-0745Z time range. A little while later, we'll cross through a corner of QK96, and I'll be on CAS-4A/B at 08/0952Z to hopefully put that grid into some logs. I'll finish the evening on XW2A and JO-97 at 08/1110-1125Z probably in QK86 which would make 4 grids on the day. Our destination is Saipan in QK25, so we'll be entering the 12th and final grid field (QK) of the voyage tomorrow. 73/Jim, ND9M
