So last week, Fox 1E was opened up to, well, challenging use. Downlink
power is quite low so the encouragement is to use highly efficient modes
like FT4 or CW as SSB may prove difficult.
Since that announcement, I have not heard much from BB members, on whether
they have been able to make contacts, and if so, how much/little power was
needed to get through. The article on "Characterization" of the bird, and
the subsequent info on it's being opened for what use can be made of it, did
not address this topic. If one were to try it, I am sure they may feel it
would take a quite substantial uplink power to be heard back. B ut maybe
not so much power anyway.
I, and I am sure others, are interested in hearing from folks who have
attempted and failed, or succeeded in at least hearing themselves, or even
making a QSO, as to how much uplink power it did take.

For future proposal information and more details such as expectations, proposal guidelines and proposal form, and dates and times of Information Webinars, go to www.ariss.org.
About ARISS:
Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) is a cooperative venture of international amateur radio societies and the space agencies that support the International Space Station (ISS). In the United States, sponsors are the Radio Amateur Satellite Corporation (AMSAT), the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), the ISS National Lab and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The primary goal of ARISS is to promote exploration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEAM) topics by organizing scheduled contacts via amateur radio between crew members aboard the ISS and students in classrooms or public forms. Before and during these radio contacts, students, educators, parents, and communities learn about space, space technologies, and amateur radio. For more information, see www.ariss.org.

Many people believe that business success is about getting the right idea, making a plan, and following it through. But this isn't always true. The truth is that many companies have found out that they can be successful by hiring a professional to help them with their marketing and sales strategies. These professionals are called "business coaches" or "consultants."
Business coaches can take on all sorts of roles. For example, they might be a mentor who helps with strategy, or they could act as an intermediary between two companies that are in negotiation. However, the coach's specific role is determined by what the clients need and what type of help they want from a business consultant.

Many factors come into play when choosing the best business advisor or business outsourcing firm. First and foremost would be the price; this should be under the kind of work you will get for the money you are paying for. Secondly, you should ensure that you are dealing with an advisor who is willing to go the extra mile even after getting paid; advisors who will not settle for less are hard to find. Thirdly, you need to check the advisor's past performances; only the best get the job done.
Hence, through here, you need to remember that each financial advisor you will have to pick out is already approved for being able to give out the very best professional services available in the industry. In this case, the best business advisor has enough experience in estate planning; if you happen to live in Melbourn, you should choose a Melbourne-based financial advisor like https://www.foundersgo2.com/business-advisor-services. This is because estate planning is highly regulated in Melbourne, and thus, a financial advisor from such a place can only do the job well.

When the concept of AMSAT (worldwide) including ARISS, goes beyond a tool to collect grids and becomes an academy to show communications on and from Earth to Space, to children and adults, the fact that some equipment is faulty, it becomes something that only remains in the way, and you must continue to work with what works.

Hi All, trying to get back on after a while of not being active. Wondering
if there are any handheld preferences and or availability since my tried
and trusted W32a Icoms.I used them for a while but sold when I moved.
Someone mentioned the Kenwood TH D72 also. Just wondering if anything else
for portable. I am using my TS-2000 for linear. Thanks es 73 Joe KI4TZ
