Hello, I was listening on 29.500 USB during an AO-7 pass this morning hoping to maybe catch some telemetry (no VHF/UHF equipment here). Instead, I got this unkeyed carrier which lasted while the satellite was higher than 20 degrees or so, and it appears to have some Doppler. Could this be coming from AO-7? Is telemetry dead? This is the first time I'm trying to get at satellites, so bear with me please if I ask silly questions :) Received on an IC-7300 w/ vertical antenna. It was faint but audible. First off the crew is very busy on the ISS and they simply may not have the time to just pick up the microphone and talk. Also, one needs to be aware of their normal daily schedule. I have listed below the constraints that we at ARISS have to follow in order to schedule the school contacts. Hopefully this will help you better schedule your opportunities. Typical daily schedule Wakeup to Workday start= 1.5 hours Workday start to Workday end=12 hours Workday end to Sleep= 2 hours Sleep to wakeup= 8.5 hours The crew's usual waking period is 0730 - 1930 UTC. The most common times to find a crew member making casual periods are about one hour after waking and before sleeping, when they have personal time. They're usually free most of the weekend, as well. SSTV events are not that often. So please check out https://www.ariss.org/ for the latest information or watch for the ARISS announcements. And don’t forget that the packet system is active. As always, if there is an EVA, a docking, or an undocking; the ARISS radios are turned off as part of the safety protocol. Our LUSEX (LU Satellite EXperiment) may reenter about Oct-20 17hs, she is now only at 300 Km height and descending. LUSEX #41557 carried a U/V linear transponder at piggyback of Satellogic Nusat-1, was launched May-2016 from Taiyuan, China orbiting at 500 Km. height. Was a development of LU1CGB, Adrian and William, PE1RAH, using similar transponder as VO-52. ARISS conducts 60-80 of these special amateur radio contacts each yearbetween students around the globe and crew members with ham radio licenses aboardthe ISS. Sekolah Kebangsaan Wangsa Maju Seksyen 2 is a national schoollocated at Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It has a total of 44 teachersand 468 students ages 7 to 12 years. This school has an Integrated SpecialEducation Program in addition to its mainstream education syllabus and is alsoa school under the School Transformation Programme 2025 (TS25). This ARISScontact coincides with their National Space Challenge 2023, an annual eventinstituted in 2007, the year the first Malaysian went to the ISS. This will be a direct contact via Amateur Radio allowing students to ask their questions ofAstronaut Andreas Mogensen, amateur radio call sign KG5GCZ. The downlinkfrequency for this contact is 145.800 MHz and may be heard by listeners thatare within the ISS-footprint that also encompasses the relay ground station. Thank you very much, Mike. No, I hadn't calibrated the LVB Tracker to the G-5500 control box. I looked around the web for the LVB documentation but had no success. I was really surprised to not find any documentation or even mention of the LVB Tracker on the AMSAT web page. Regardless, thank you for your help. I think this will enable me to get the array going. LVB Tracker Indicates 255° out from G-5500 control

This evening I connected my new to me LVB tracker to the G-5500 control box (also new to me) for the first time..all seems well except that the azimuth reading between the G-5500 control & the LVB tracker are 255° apart. I know the array is pointed west, the G-5500 box indicates west, but for a reason I'm not aware of presently the LVB Tracker shows +15°. Any thoughts? Thanks, Robin Midgett K4IDC
