Question for the FT-817 experts

Just received two brand new FT-817 from HRO.when one is on high power the power bargraph flashes ,when the other oNE is on high power the power bargraph is gone.verified high power with a peak reading bird with a 5 watt slug. Almost like 2 diferent firmwares . Anybody else experience this ? I did see a posting on a ft 817 users group that I am not the only one that has experienced this .thanks.jeff wb8rjy jeff broughton

Well, my experience is be careful what you wish for. I get in these organizations and see something needing to be done and next thing I know I'm in charge of doing it. Tampa Bay Hamfest

Good morning all, This Friday and Saturday is the Tampa Bay Hamfest in Plant City, Florida (http://fgcarc.org/). AMSAT will have a booth with the latest in AMSAT swag, including Getting Started on the Amateur Satellites book. We will have a forum from 9 AM to 10 AM on Saturday morning, and we will be doing demonstrations live on the air whenever possible, on both the FM and linear transponder satellites. Look for KK4FEM, KO4MA, and maybe others, on the air. If you are a current AMSAT member and plan on attending, drop me an email to let me know if you can help out. Yaesu G-5500 Control Box Problem

...and suddently, the analogue display of the Yaesu G-5500 (Elev / Azim)...I mean the needles stopped moving. Neither the Elevation nor the Azimuth needles are moving at all but the rotor is working when tracking with SatPC32 / LVB. Any hints on repairs are / will be appreciated. Updating Keplerian Elements on SATSKED

Below is a request by Quirino, 6jzh. Quirino is an older person using an older program (probably DOS) called SATSKED, but he is having trouble updating the Keplerian elements. If you are familiar with this program could you help Quirino? I am not familiar with this program and I can't find anyone who has used SATSKED. I see a reference on www.amsat.org in the satellite software area under MS-DOS programs, Pacsat Programs, but I can't download any data from the link. Quirino's email address is 6jzh(a)libero.it He can read amsat-bb but is not able to send messages???
